It doesn't get any better than this! I never understood the stunning evolution of the song from Gene Pitney's "ok" song, to the vastly improved Cyndi-Blue Angel version (and thank god Cyndi brought it back, too.)This is my all time fav song! AMAZING.

How can you say the original is "ok" and give more glory to a remake. I agree lauper sounds good and has an amazing voice but keep in mind the original was approximately 1960's and we are talking about 2 different genres here spanning over 45 years. The original is a classic and should be givin its due praise.
