@26NCT Thanks! ^^ I would join but I live in Sweden. But Again Epic Video thanks for the answer, hope many will join your regiment, Im gonna join 48th Tennessee soon enough here in Sweden :P
I love civil war reenactments, I'm starting reenacting in summer, I'll probably be a bugler in the 11th NC troops for another year then switch to the line.
p.s. does anyone understand why everyone makes fun of civil war reenactments?
I saw this show Stephen Hawking was on he said time travel is impossible, maybe thats a good thing, things happen the way they happen for a reason reenacting is the closest thing we can do to actually being there
When I used to live in North Carolina there would be a ceremony on Confederate Memorial Day at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh. After that reenactors would march to the capitol. Does this still take place?
I could never bring myself to "galvanize", but that has to be the best recruiting video and tool for the SCV that I've ever seen. Wonderfully produced. You are to be commended. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! I ve been really empressed by your wonderful vidéo as a french civil war reenactor,I would like join a troop like yours..you look great and very realistics.Thank you and keep up the good job.
I'm a drummer in the 3:rd North Carolina Co. F from "Civil War Re-enactors in Sweden". This film i giving me the most spectacular feeling! Bravo! The music... can you tell me were it´s from? =)

36th Virginia Company A myself, and I gota hand it to u, whoever did this video did one hell of a job, I could see this being a great recruiting video, really sparks a lot of interest from a fellow reenactor, hopefully it does the same for someone interested in the hobby. Best of luck in the rest of this season
The 26th NC was a hell of an outfit. There charge on McPherson Ridge during Gettysburg helped push the Union line into collapse. They went toe to toe with the best the Union had to offer(Iron Brigade) and won the day.
Excellent work! This clip gave me the chills and made me realize what an honor reenacting is. If I may ask, what is the music set to the video? Thanks.
It will be an honor to take part with ya'll at Fort Fisher this year and I also appreciate your efforts in restoring the Battle Flag of the 52nd NC Regiment that was captured at Gettysburg. It is an awesome display in Raleigh.
Hat's off to your organization and the brave men who served in this fine unit. I'm proud of my heritage represented by the 11th PA Vol. Reg't. from Westmoreland County,PA, but I lived in NC for 17 years and often heard about the 26th. Nicely done!
Awesome job! Well done.

@MrCivilwarlogan Uh I do believe you're wrong thar ol' par. The 26th kicked their asses at Gettysburg. Them black hats didn't have nuthin' fer us.
Michaeldean88 8 months ago
@Michaeldean88 81% Casualties for the 26th, 73% for the 24th Michigan. So I would say that they fought each other to a bloody pulp.

Yes, the members of our regiment portrayed both sides for the video. We have dual impressions and portray Federals from time to time.
