  • Wow that is like the coolest recruitment video ever, good job guys, god bless the south!

  • Used this vid for a story I'm writing!

  • Gah every time I watch this video it makes me want to move to North Carolina.

  • @josded Me too! worst part's I live in the Netherlands!

  • Good show North Carolina!..... from an old 5th Texas veteran.

  • Whats the name of the song ? please tell me I like it alot!

  • It is called "High Price Victory". See the earlier posting below for more information.

  • @26NCT Thanks! ^^ I would join but I live in Sweden. But Again Epic Video thanks for the answer, hope many will join your regiment, Im gonna join 48th Tennessee soon enough here in Sweden :P

  • Great video keep up the good work

  • thats better than a reenactment

  • That was actually really good.

  • I love civil war reenactments, I'm starting reenacting in summer, I'll probably be a bugler in the 11th NC troops for another year then switch to the line.

p.s. does anyone understand why everyone makes fun of civil war reenactments?

  • Covered with glory!

  • THE IORN 44th INDANA ARE BETTER

  • @MrCivilwarlogan Uh I do believe you're wrong thar ol' par. The 26th kicked their asses at Gettysburg. Them black hats didn't have nuthin' fer us.

  • @Michaeldean88 81% Casualties for the 26th, 73% for the 24th Michigan. So I would say that they fought each other to a bloody pulp.

  • @MrCivilwarlogan I just looked at the "IORN 44th Indiana's" website and had to horse laugh at this comment

  • 26th NCT....Men of Iron then and now

  • A most wonderfull video, should win some sort of award.

  • As much as I cant say I agree with the rebel cause I can respect soldiers for soldiers from your friends in Federal Blue God bless

  • I saw this show Stephen Hawking was on he said time travel is impossible, maybe thats a good thing, things happen the way they happen for a reason reenacting is the closest thing we can do to actually being there

  • well done guys (thumbs up)

  • When I used to live in North Carolina there would be a ceremony on Confederate Memorial Day at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh. After that reenactors would march to the capitol. Does this still take place?

  • Anybody know the song used in the video?

  • I could never bring myself to "galvanize", but that has to be the best recruiting video and tool for the SCV that I've ever seen. Wonderfully produced. You are to be commended. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is very well made! Your guys' rebel yell was the first I heard that actually made me shiver - I bet you guys were doing it right! :)

"For the glory of the Old North State forward!"

  • so i take it you guys are like my regiment the 43rd and 2nd p.a.? our group portrays both sides of the rev. war which is a helll of alot of fun

  • What is the song called? Where is it from?

  • Wow!! I ve been really empressed by your wonderful vidéo as a french civil war reenactor,I would like join a troop like yours..you look great and very realistics.Thank you and keep up the good job.

  • Very Nice video.....even giving the correct Rebel Yell! Very well done.

  • Congradulations, may I suggest you also look up the history of the couragous and defiant 26th Cav Rgmt (PS). Last American Cavalry charge.

  • 1:55 Oh noez!

  • Very impressive video! Keep up the good work!

  • Beautiful.

  • I was in the 26th 15 years ago. The ad is very good.

  • Fantastic video...makes me want to get back into reenacting!

  • dudes nice video ;)

  • I'm a drummer in the 3:rd North Carolina Co. F from "Civil War Re-enactors in Sweden". This film i giving me the most spectacular feeling! Bravo! The music... can you tell me were it´s from? =)

Your regemental friend in battle: "Pvt Drummer-Boy"

  • great vid and great impressions

  • well done video. what music score did you use for the beginning?

  • 36th Virginia Company A myself, and I gota hand it to u, whoever did this video did one hell of a job, I could see this being a great recruiting video, really sparks a lot of interest from a fellow reenactor, hopefully it does the same for someone interested in the hobby. Best of luck in the rest of this season

  • outstanding video

  • The 26th NC was a hell of an outfit. There charge on McPherson Ridge during Gettysburg helped push the Union line into collapse. They went toe to toe with the best the Union had to offer(Iron Brigade) and won the day.

  • Excellent work! This clip gave me the chills and made me realize what an honor reenacting is. If I may ask, what is the music set to the video? Thanks.

  • Very good video.

  • Ive been reenacting for years and I got chills. Very, very, very good video.

  • Great video, thumbs up! A real change from all these dismounted cav mongs!

  • This was a really great video. I used the music that was used in this video for one of mine and I'll put t as a video response.

  • Nice way to end it - really end it!

  • what is the name of that fife and drum music at 1:04?

  • That is a tune called "Charming Molly"

  • Wow that was a really great video! Any reenactments near October by chance?

  • This video is awesome. Were the reenactors playing both blue and gray?

  • Yes, the members of our regiment portrayed both sides for the video. We have dual impressions and portray Federals from time to time.

  • Fort Fisher was awesome

  • Awesome video!, lookin forward to fightin with yall at Fort Fisher.

  • Amazing video,

It will be an honor to take part with ya'll at Fort Fisher this year and I also appreciate your efforts in restoring the Battle Flag of the 52nd NC Regiment that was captured at Gettysburg. It is an awesome display in Raleigh.

  • Hat's off to your organization and the brave men who served in this fine unit. I'm proud of my heritage represented by the 11th PA Vol. Reg't. from Westmoreland County,PA, but I lived in NC for 17 years and often heard about the 26th. Nicely done!

  • Huzzah! From the 12th NJ, Co. K. Mifflin Guard

  • WOW! That video blows me away!

  • this is pretty neat =D

  • Awesome video my dad is in the 26th and hes in this movie 0:47 the guy in the center is my dad and and next to him is Cody...aka the main character
