While this 2D fighter based on the manga was released outside of Japan with PS1 & Dreamcast ports, the 2002 PlayStation 2 game (also by Capcom) remained in Japan; the manga's creator even refused to edit or remove the references.
Another capcom fighter was based on an anime but it was developed by arc system works, Sengoku Basara X, though Guilty Gear and Blazblue are really not my cup of tea, I gotta find Sengoku Basara X and give that game a try, looks pretty damn fun.
This is something I've always wanted to play, but I never found it, or an emulator I could use to play such games. It's a shame that I can't use CPS3 emulators on a Mac (not without installing Windows that is...). Nice fights by the way.
I like the title screen and that blue suit fella doing the uncle sams "I want you!" pose. that is so awesome.

No, this was Jojo's Venture. It was NOT a beta. JJBA is actually like a Champion Edition of Jojo's Venture.
