i dont like when people cut holes in the bottom of the doors in the 67-72 era trucks because it looks ugly (in my opinion) and you can get kick panels with speakers thus producing sound from virtually the same location and it just looks alot cleaner.
Ah, it looks like you've got the not so rare rocker panel delete option on your truck haha? What are your plans for it, a resto or just drive it ilke it is?
@elpichichis There is a cable that runs off the transmission up to the speed-odometer check the connections under the dash to the back of the speedo, and go under the truck and check that the cable is connected to the transmission and that it has no breaks or tears in it.
nice truck. brings back memories of my grandparents' 71 gmc 1500 with the 350. from what ive been told it was bought brand new. it was very dependable. used for everything. even had a camper on it. finally ended its life when someone hit the truck with my uncle in it. he survived though. insurance didnt want to cover it.
haha mine turns over jsut as loud!!! i thought it was bad so i tried every shim i could get and it just made it worse i guess these old trucks just sounds like that ha ha

nice truck man is that same model like mine execpt mine doesn't factory A/C i had to put my own custom A/C. do you have front drums brakes or disc?
koolaidnixon 4 years ago
does that have no exhuast? and is it a 350 small block cause i have a 90 chevy 2500 no exhuast and 350 and sound just like that
chevyboy814 4 years ago
Yeah its a 350, but it does have exhaust but it comes out right under the cab with a muffler on it.
matthew20061 4 years ago
Thats odd. A/C vents in the dash yet under the hood only shows a heater box
giberish9 4 years ago
Ya someone removed the original A/C and changed it to just a heater but it still has the A/C dash vents.
matthew20061 4 years ago
I noticed that when you started this truck up, it made no sound at all. Did you cut the buzzer wires or did this truck not come with a buzzer?
Jac2Mac 4 years ago
As far as I know it never had one....
matthew20061 4 years ago
1970 was before buzzers were put in cars/trucks. It was several years later that cars came with them to reminde people to put seat belts on.
