The LHC does create black holes! They are significantly smaller than the nucleus of a lead particle, and therefore have a gravitational attraction which is smaller than AN APPLE!!

If you think these LHC black holes will destroy the world, maybe you should be afraid of bowling balls as well, their attraction is 5x stronger!

The strength of the solenoid magnet is really impressive! 3.7 T may sound small compared to the strength of a MRI (can reach over 3 times that in research magnets), but when you consider how much bigger CMS is it's absolutely mind-boggling!
