  • I only wish a softer musical backing had been used at that time when Josef Locke was his seventies, and not someone banging rapidly on a keyboard "showing off his skills"

    The tempo was much too fast for that song.

    Josef Locke wasn't being accompanied; he was racing just to keep up.

    What a voice . Can you imagine most of these modern day

  • I feel very privileged to have watched this beautiful piece of history. I first came across this song when the film "Hear my song" with Ned Beatty came on TV late one night never having heard of Joseph Locke. I loved it so much I bought the DVD some years later. Not realising that any TV footage was available, this morning I typed Hear My Song into Youtube and found lots of bits of footage of different songs of his. THANKYOU to all of you who have posted these. You've made my day. What a voice.

  • My grandfather knew Josef, I'm not sure if I ever met him (wouldn't be surprised if I did!) but I really enjoy his music and the fact he is a bit of a character. Is there a greatest hits? I had it year's ago but can't remember the name of it.

  • not at his best sadly, but always very underated. he had such a pure voice and never seemed to need much effort.

    I was so very lucky to have met him on several accasions. and thank god his voice lives on
