I hope you all know that not all of Canada and it`s citizens think this is right. If this is just another Canadian stereotype, let`s end it please. For the most part Canada is a very humane country and not all of it`s citizens deserve to be reprimanded for a couple of irresponsible hunters and politicians.

Actually the seals aren't wild, it's the animals that come in the boats their WILD! I thought this was illegal all over the world. Except in places like Chinia, they don't have any civil rights for animals over there. :(

I have spoken directly to someone who is, in part, a manager of the seal hunt in the government. I told her I was getting a petition signed and she just rolled her eyes and said "Oh, those will end up on my desk". I cannot believe there is nothing we can do about this. Our own (former) Gov. Gen. openly supports it and publicly eats seal meat. She should have been made to go on a hunt and see with her own eyes what they do.

I have supported this effort for the past 5 years and will continue to do so. I love you guys for doing what you do to try to stop this senseless killing. I check every fish product I buy to make sure it doesn't come from Canada. Everyone should boycot Canadian fish products and do everything we can to stop the Canadian government in their support of this fur trade.

i dont understand why people need fur, it makes no sense to me. we can make faux fur if you like the look or feel, why pay more to wear an animals dead skin on your shoulders, it makes no sense. you cant even legally eat them, their endanagered animals. who would buy this and fund the hunt? but we cant just get upset becuase their cute, we have to get upset becuase every living thing deserves justice. also if you can get there before the hunt begins why dont you kidnap the seals for a week?

How horrible. I'm not even anti-fur, but the way they kill the seals is inhuman. If they can't raise them in captivity, can't they at least tranquilize them first or use a gun!? What's the purpose of having to bludgeon them like that? It's revolting.
