DW gundam 3 came out a few days ago nd no1 is reviewing it (no IGN, no gamespot.... no1) I guess its better than these loser hating on it for being "repetitive"....but according to them shooting the same looking soldiers in COD is not repetitive ...
@sasgay - that's not entirely true. I have never followed Gundam at all. I know nothing about any of the characters or suits. I love this game, I don't think combat is lame like the reviewer says.. wish more people than 0 played online. But overall, coming from a not gundam 'fanboy', i really enjoy this game.
also.) its not a boring game, i can sit down and play this for hours a day wothout getting bored and i know im not the only one. whever its the fact that you can destroy thousands of robots in your favourite gundams from the anime (mine's master gundam, or maybe hyaku shiki?). or or the huge variety of gundams, characters, maps, enemies etc.

I wanna start off by saying this review is done well and honestly I believe he has some good points. With that out of the way, for me this game is a ton of fun. Gundam fans will love almost everything about this game. The game play is repetitive true enough, but the thing about this game is it caters to a certain crowd of people who like the hack and slash style game-play and us Gundam fans. For those who like those two types this game is gold. For those others, what this guy says is true enough
The point is to provide a review for all people in general not give fanboy praise. I like this series and I knew I'd enjoy the game but if I wasn't a fan then I would probably hate it. The most annoying aspect of this game was the omission of the Japanese audio track as the fist one had it. The English voices are f@ck awful.

Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games are the definition of mindless. You're just hacking and slashing through hundreds/thousands of enemies. If I play one, I usually listen to Smodcast or something while doing it because there's no need to think too much about what's going on...

Being fair, it is indeed a repetitive game - all games of this type are. Plus games of this type are for a specific audience - gundam and dynasty warriors fans. No halo dude #5435243 won't like this game. Guess what, halo dude also hates the sims and WoW. You can't argue with success and there's a reason why they keep making these games. If you're not part of the target audience maybe you're not the right one to review the game.
I can't say I've every played a Dynasty Warriors game. But I have played Gundam games. And to date...I haven't found one that just blew me away. Journey to Jaburo was okay, it had the most stable setting. But Encounters in space was like a slap in the face. I dont know. Maybe its me? Or maybe its because those games foces pretty much on Universal Century? I care more for Cosmic era myself, i like those suits better.

As a Gundam fan I see this as a slap in the face for the Gundam franchise. While the story, charctars and models do look accurate, the action itself ( one good robot vs 100 bad ones ) doesnt resemble anything like Gundam, nor in style of feel of the Gundam battles known for.
unless it is beam spamming Kira Fagito (Yamito) lol he kills 100 guys at once just like the game :P I like the game tho, its good for releasing stress onto a bunch of helpless guys :D
That review was more mindless than the apparently "crap" game.
It may not have as good graphics as a regular dynasty warriors game and the v.o's aren't great but there's alot more packed into this than a regular d.w game. The freindship system and the rediculously huge amount of missions and variable's that occur through the missions makes this a brilliant.
P.S. I had never seen a gundam series before playing this game - i only had a very rough outline of what it was about.

I played DWGundam 1 to death, but I'm a bit of an otaku and I want to play my Japanese games in Japanese. So this game pretty much fails becuase for some bizzare boneheaded reason they didnt include it for the sequal.
While I may not agree with what the guy says, but I am not going to rip into him like a FF7 Fanboy trying to get the shrink wrap off the BluRay Version of FF7:AC. Some of the characters you kinda have to know the back story to, but there is always the option of the Gallery in the main menu that tells you a breif description of each character you've met and or seen in the game. It is definitely worth picking up if you are tired of seeing FPS and what not on your PS3, 360, ot PS2.
honestly there is NO problem with this game i mean it has Dynasty Warriors Written on it so there is no suprise in terms of gameing OF COURSE its button mashing thats what has been so god damn sucesessful in the franchise in my personal opinion it is a FANTASTIC addition to the series and to fighting genres everywhere

If you don't like the original Gundam (Char and Amuro's) series, expect only a bit of fan service for your series, but 0083 and Meisters aside there is still a lot for everyone. There are also several free downloads available. For fans of Gundam, I give it a 7 out of 10. Yes, it has its faults, but it's too much fan service in one place to not enjoy something.
Here's a Gundam (not DW) fan review. Story mode is brief enough to quickly experience several suits. They're mostly Universal Century suits because that's Gundam. Wing, Seed, Turn, F91, and Victory are all spinoffs or retelling of the Gundam story- and G was a play on DBZ.
After story mode, more playable characters are unlocked. Most have their own suits, though a few are used multiple times because they were in their respective series.
......wow...get a gundam fan to review this...and make sure hes played the gundam games....whether its in english or any other language....they'll give a better review than this...DEFINATELY...

I thought the point of reviews was to give the good and the bad, not complain about how you don't like the graphics or the voice actors (which are incredible) or the combat. Everyone pretty much knows by now that to win at a dynasty warriors game, you have to press square alot. But why do you think the series has expanded so much? It's because people actually enjoy it, sure its the same thing over and over but its got an addicting quality to it where its fun even after the 100th mission.
This game actually feels very good controlled, which makes the hack and slash fun, not to mention the ai isnt retarded, you fight the other leaders and other stuff. i mean come on gamespot ur reviews can suck so much sometimes

Being fair, it is indeed a repetitive game - all games of this type are. Plus games of this type are for a specific audience - gundam and dynasty warriors fans. No halo dude #5435243 won't like this game. Guess what, halo dude also hates the sims and WoW. You can't argue with success and there's a reason why they keep making these games. I can't say I've every played a Dynasty Warriors game. But I have played Gundam games. And to date...I haven't found one that just blew me away. Journey to Jaburo was okay, it had the most stable setting. But Encounters in space was like a slap in the face. I dont know. Maybe its me? Or maybe its because those games foces pretty much on Universal Century? I care more for Cosmic era myself, i like those suits better.

As a Gundam fan I see this as a slap in the face for the Gundam franchise. While the story, charctars and models do look accurate, the action itself ( one good robot vs 100 bad ones ) doesnt resemble anything like Gundam, nor in style of feel of the Gundam battles known for.

That review was more mindless than the apparently "crap" game.
It may not have as good graphics as a regular dynasty warriors game and the v.o's aren't great but there's alot more packed into this than a regular d.w game. The freindship system and the rediculously huge amount of missions and variable's that occur through the missions makes this a brilliant.
P.S. I had never seen a gundam series before playing this game - i only had a very rough outline of what it was about.

You know, if you're going to BOTHER reviewing a game that is pretty clearly only going to be interesting to Gundam fans, maybe have someone who actually KNOWS a little about Gundam review it?
Most people who are going to enjoy this are going to because of the cross-universe battles with their favourite suits and pilots.
Your average guy off the street isn't going to care about the SEED kids VS School of Touhou Fuhai. It's not for them. It's for Gundam fans.

While I may not agree with what the guy says, but I am not going to rip into him like a FF7 Fanboy trying to get the shrink wrap off the BluRay Version of FF7:AC. Some of the characters you kinda have to know the back story to, but there is always the option of the Gallery in the main menu that tells you a breif description of each character you've met and or seen in the game. It is definitely worth picking up if you are tired of seeing FPS and what not on your PS3, 360, ot PS2.

honestly there is NO problem with this game i mean it has Dynasty Warriors Written on it so there is no suprise in terms of gameing OF COURSE its button mashing thats what has been so god damn sucesessful in the franchise in my personal opinion it is a FANTASTIC addition to the series and to fighting genres everywhere

If you don't like the original Gundam (Char and Amuro's) series, expect only a bit of fan service for your series, but 0083 and Meisters aside there is still a lot for everyone. There are also several free downloads available. For fans of Gundam, I give it a 7 out of 10. Yes, it has its faults, but it's too much fan service in one place to not enjoy something.
Here's hoping for number 3.

Here's a Gundam (not DW) fan review. Story mode is brief enough to quickly experience several suits. They're mostly Universal Century suits because that's Gundam. Wing, Seed, Turn, F91, and Victory are all spinoffs or retelling of the Gundam story- and G was a play on DBZ.
After story mode, more playable characters are unlocked. Most have their own suits, though a few are used multiple times because they were in their respective series.

I thought the point of reviews was to give the good and the bad, not complain about how you don't like the graphics or the voice actors (which are incredible) or the combat. Everyone pretty much knows by now that to win at a dynasty warriors game, you have to press square alot. But why do you think the series has expanded so much? It's because people actually enjoy it, sure its the same thing over and over but its got an addicting quality to it where its fun even after the 100th mission.
