The backwards drop isn't really a "drop", it's just a spiral (sort of like the outside one on this ride), but backwards and going downhill. I do know that the top speed backwards is 40mph.
Well someone already had a heart attack on the ride... found unconsciousness at the unload station at the end. But it was unclear why he had a heart attack, everest isn't that intense!
I remmember getting paired up with a lady about 80 years old on this, the whole time I was thinking "DON'T DIE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DON'T DIE!"
Nah, just paranoid while trying to avoid the authoritys. It might be selfish, but I didn't want to spend the rest of my day writing a police statement.

It just amazes me that they wouldn't think to do this in the first place seeing as it's the centerpiece of the ride(next to the mountain itself).

The only thing wrong with it is the dealt cement base cracked. They are waiting for the next refurbishment to fix it.
