Better to fight for something than live for nothing. It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. george s patton
I am on the way to become a German soldier and takes off my hat to the soldiers operating in Afghanistan. Who does not know how to appreciate what you guys perform there, that earns in my opinion to be sent even there, because you risk there every single day your life and this counts more, than the American foreign affairs! I will announce myself after my concluded education voluntarily for the application in Afghanistan!
This is why we fight. To bring eachother back. If we cant we will take as many as them as we can with disregard for our own lives. This is the reality of losing a friend. We will volunteer and continue to vonlunteer for the worst missions. The scary thing is we really do pray for war or battle more so. Out on patrol hoping to fight. Alot of the time i guess they were answered. Got ambushed alot. Anyway losing someone in war or not makes you a very reckless and careless person.
i love love love love love this song. my sister participated in the every fifteen minutes, and she happened to die, (pretend) and they played this song at her *funeral* with a slide show of her lifeee, and it was pretty sad.
You know most of you see the point in this song, a small few don't see the point in any war. Sometimes, like it or not when all else fails it has to happen. It's not a perfect world, people have to die to save others from dying.WW2 was a great example about how many Americans died about 4-5 hundred thousand. But how many were saved by their heroic deeds? In the millions! We (the world) would have lost millions more if our brave men and women during that time weren't there. God Bless Them All !!!
I think this is going to be considered George Strait's greatest song. I am a fan of his and when this song came out a few years ago it totally blew me away because it is inspiring and touching.
This song came out the spring after my love had been KIA-Just weeks before our son was born. I can't listen to it without bawling.
"I've never seen a hearse with a luggage rack..."
How true. Treasure what you have here, not what you're taking with you. Because it's notthing. Tell your loved ones everyday how much you love them. Never end your day angry and start each new one with a new attitude.
"Do not ask why such men died for their country; Thank God that such men lived."
Thank you for your service to all the men and women in the armed forces, those who have given their lives and those who continue to fight for us. God Bless.
Thank you for this touching memorial to those wh have gvien their lives...
Once during the Vietnam war - I was assigned to a Naval base in SF (I was a reservist doing my two weeks annual active duty). I was sent to pick up something in this large hanger - I saw so many Marines that had been killed in action - they were in coffins and were being prepared to be shipped to their families back home - It is sda image I will never forget - the horror of war...
God bless our United States best. They are our rock, our hope, and our sanity. None of them have ever or will ever die in vain because there are millions here who love them and realize it's because of them that we remain free. Ooh Rah, and God speed.
I'll tell you, I wish I would've went into the service. I'm too old now but I still respect each and every one of them, past, present and future.Their the true heroes.
what a shame these people most around my age will never see America again. They died across seas and joined all the other soldiers who died for our country in WW1,2,Korea,Vietnam and Desert Storm. But they did die honorably and had a great amount of courage.
Whether or not one believes that our troops belong over there (I personally don't, but that's me), I firmly believe that they deserve our utmost respect both while they're gone and when they come back - after all, they're laying their lives on the line for us - and also that our government is failing them miserably when they come back. We need to agitate for them to get the care they need when they come back from what is essentially Hell, in terms of both the physical and the psychological.
So what do you think about how they're being treated when they get back? Would you say that the situation is getting any better than it was two months ago? And I ask because I haven't heard much of anything since then.
I can tell you, I've done 2 tours there and getting ready for 3. We are winning over there. Things have settled down over the past few months. Don't believe anything you see on the television news. The reason you haven't seen any news in a while is because there is nothing bad to report over there. Keep serching. I've been treated just fine since I've been home. My Unit got a huge welcome home an the VA has been very cooperative with some of the guys who took their discharges.
This is a great song i just a my grandmother from cancer i played this song for her bc she loved it and she said she is always wellin to put her hand out to help pull someone up <3
