the population of the 1930's was 122,770,000 versus the current population of 300,000,000. We have doubled the population but not the available amount of land. We have industrial farms now but in the worst case scenario that would not be the case.

@MrGnarus Maybe the sheer amount of land has not gone up, but the productivity of the land - how much food we can get per acre - has exploded since the 1930s. We are growing so much the farmers have to be paid by the government to NOT grow stuff.

Even if you stock on 2 yrs of food and no crsis happens your still buying food cheaper per unit. also i see no indication that food will be cheaper in years to come. Buy now and save. Thom if you go outside and it is cloudy then you take your umbrella. There are storm clouds gathering right now and if you have an umbrella you should bring it with you in case it rains. I've listened to Jim Rawles on a number of different programs, and I think what he has to say is very interesting. I think it's cool that some people are getting prepared for the possibility of something like that.
