  • Writing is easier to edit; I find my favorite default medium is Twitter because it suits me -- none of the conversations get particularly intense unless someone mentions cheeseburgers.

You should express yourself in a medium that feels comfortable to you, at whatever level. Don't let anyone talk you out of something that helps you figure out things. I know when I try to separate this project from that interest, I end up feeling fragmented.

  • @michelledenisenorton That's great advice. I'm looking for a happy medium where I can feel like I'm being truthful without feeling embarrassed at the result.

  • (lol, i said I was too tired and I'm on a rampage!) Anyway, if they don't get ME being ME, then chances are, they won't get my films either. So guess what? They're not my audience. I make my blogs as a creative expression and to connect with people who DO think like me!! I say be yourself, do it the CAZZIE WAY. Art is about being YOU - not about fitting in. I'll say more later but this is what I felt right now. Love you! Goodnight!

  • @LisaMurray I agree with you in so many ways it's ridiculous. I guess the main issue is not vlogging but me accepting who I am within the vlog. Sometimes I'm a bit down ... is that the best time to make a vlog that will be seen by everyone? Maybe not ... or maybe I can post one once in awhile to show the ups AND downs.

The Australian industry still seems to be a bit resistant to You Tube type people. But hey, I want to work for Flower Films anyway!

  • I agreee that it is more a matter of 'how' you do youtube & other media versus nothing at all. But you already said that. ;-) Me tired.

  • Many of my friends are filmmakers and I am a filmmaker who BLOGS and covers film premieres from Paramount (as a blogger, not as an official press person) and I blog about my process in making this film. I don't owe anybody anything. I'm doing this for ME and I love my youtube blogs and videos. It's a huge part of who I am and what I'm doing and I won't apologize for that. People who don't get it don't get ME and that's cool.

  • Yay!! Congratulations Cazzie!!! I'm so happy for you! I have a lot to say about what you talk about here but I'm drained of all energy from my BlogTV stint. I went through exactly what you're going through. I'm actually annoyed by your friend who said "don't do youtube". There are MANY roads into the castle. Everybody discovers their own road - A NEW ROAD - every day. There is no one way to get in. PERIOD. I live in the movie making capital of the world.

  • Hello,Cazzie.

Other filmakers and actors and such now use social media to GET THE WORD OUT.

This will become the new normal as time goes on. Do what you feel comfortable doing, and look at how others in the industry use social media.

  • @Blargaldalien Thanks for the advice Blargal. Looking at how others use it is sometimes what makes me feel self conscious ... I tend to put my heart out there. Is that what makes me, me? Or is it something I need to reign in so I don't appear unprofessional. That's more my issue.

  • Maybe private the ones you don't want be shown at whatever time you feel in or at.

  • @man1d2tran Done :)

  • @Cazzie11 Good idea?

  • @man1d2tran For the one I recently privated, yes.
