Dragon Age Origins Part 44 Mage Tower Final 720p

I'm playing on the ps3 console version and I still have yet to get the magic sympathizer trophy. I used the litany whenever possible to save all the mages but for some reason the all end up dead at the end anyways with the exception of irvin. I actually tried following this guide exactly and it hasn't seemed to help.
