  • Wow! Isn't that deadly?

  • NOM NOM NOM

  • could you tell me how you train your lionfish to eat from your hand? because mine doesnt want to eat at all and i dont know what to do since i dont want to feed it live fish

  • why in hell did you put a lionfish with a clownfish?? :(

  • @xyle786

How much biger was your lion fish than the clownfish?

  • thats awesome, should check mine out...feeding it by hand and a eel

  • wow!!Im so jealous..Id love to have exotic fishes..but I cant even keep a simple tap water tank with cheap fishes, they died in my hands.. :(

  • if your stung, is there a remedy?

  • How Messy is he and what filtration setup do you have?

  • Handle the fish so it can kill you.

  • num nom nom

  • good vid! now try feeding a lionking from your hand!

  • stupid spic

  • i eat lionfish.theyre so abundant in the reefs by where i live i just go out and spear a few and my dinner is on its way.mmmMmmm tastes like chicken, only better

  • obviously he knows what hes doing. if more experienced hobbyists want to try this make sure his pectoral fins aren't pointing in front of him when you feed them. luckily this one didn't.

  • I used to work at a fish store and we trained him to eat from our hands. Not to long after this video I got a black volitan. He would swim upside-down at the top of the tank for me to scratch his stomach. Absolutely love lionfish!

  • @xyle786 thats so cool! howd you get him to do that. its like having a dog

  • The spines of Lionfish are extremely poisonous! Be very careful

  • No doubt, you should never put your hand in there.

They've been known to kill cats who get their paws too close to the water.

  • get corals and a bubbletip anemone so you can buy a maroon clown atlantic anemones are also beautiful buy a big maroon though so e doesn't get eaten you don't have to buy corals or anemones they would make the tank look nice because lionfish are coralsafe

  • Hey buddy, if the stingers touch you it could be fatal

One man described the sting as unbarable pain

And spent a few days in hospital

    Be careful man

    x

  • uh... not really... the man your speak of could have been alergic to its venom, but to most people, the lion fish's sting is compared to a "bad bee sting" and you likely will not be hospitolized. of course there are many species of lionfish and every person is differnt, but likely no, it is not fatal

  • @LewysDibbleMusic Yea, fatal if he's severely allergic to it. Why don't you actually read up on the fish?

  • wow that fish and tank set up is beutiful I can't wait to move out so I can set one up. Would a 55 gal tank be large enough for a lion or should I just get a bigger one?

  • beautiful fish

  • wow it must be really cold in your house for you to be wearing a hat.

  • It's called a "toque". I live in Canada, i wear the toque all year.

  • what do you feed them? where can i get the food?

  • goldfish, guppys, small fish.

  • goldfish are too fatty and should never be fed to salt water aquarium fish actually

  • sorry you lost your clownfish :(

  • There venom cannot kill you unless you have an alergic reaction and even then it would be very rare. My cousin got stung and he didnt even go to the doctor just bathe it in hot soapy water for 30 minutes and it will probably feel numb for a few days.

  • i talked to a fish expert he said it will just make your hand swolen like a alergic reaction not actually kill you

  • Man my lionfish is always at the top of the

tank, because hes always hungry! He would die if

i just decided to keep a whole dozen of minos

in there(expecting him to just eat when hes hungry.

  • its a deadly venom with no cure for the poison so u'll probably most likely to die with no cure

  • ur thinking of puffer fish O_o

  • Nice, Adil. Lol

  • they arent venomous but they can sting u

  • their poisen is deadly, you can die within an hour when stung

  • errr not true, its deadly to animals/fish but humans just sream like little girls depending on what type it is, generally the brighter the more screaming

  • it is soo deadly to human

  • well, im not dead?

  • if you are alergic to bee stings then they can kill. if you are not then they just hurt like hell.

  • yeah there venoumous

  • wiggle your finger like the worm

  • You're brave! I would've NEVER done that.

  • O_O u crazy mother fucker..dam i would never do that shit to mine,u got alot of guts or u just been stupid hahaha no offence..cool vd though nice fish..

  • I want to try.

  • wasnt that kinda dangourous. looks like you were holding your hand a lil. i want one were do you get them at. lol

  • Isnt Lionfish one of the most dangerous fish in the world?

  • no its the stone fish

  • it isn't the venom can possibly kill you but there is a very slim chance.

  • i think theres only one recorded case, and i think that person was alergic and got a very high dose of the poison. Most of the time people who get stung just say its the same as a bee sting

  • yeah stone fish are WAY more venomous than lions, i've been stung by mine 2x. one time i just didn't keep track of where he was in the tank, the other he jumped out and stung me while i was trying to untangle him from the net (i couldn't find the fine mess net in time)

lovely fish and full of character, and always hungary, lol

  • He is still alive :)

I have a powerhead on the other side of the tank that moves the water around, and i dont have a NITRATE problem because i take care of the tank. :)

    thanks for worrying tho.

  • LOL i'll guarentee that fish is already dead, talk about risking contaminated water and wait until he stings ya if he is alive. It hurts like hell for about 4 hours. PS if you are having a NITRATE problem its because there is no surface aggitation or current for that matter

  • i was stung by my friend lionfish but today i got mine own

i have a 2inches long colored/red volitan lionfish and i have some troublem with it is it normal for it to be hidding ?? and its not eating i guess its cause by stress

  • i would be scared to get stung your crazy lol nicee vid

  • hello muslim brother, hows ur lionfish. i want saltwater tank but its too much compared to my freshwater. My friend has lion fish and snowflake eel in his which makes me want them as well but im happy with my loaches. is it worth getting saltwater?

  • It actually started doing that right when I bought it. Also picked up a smaller Black Volitan which likes to flip upside down so i can rub its belly.

On a side note, lionfish LOVE tetrapond sticks for koi. It's like crack for them.

  • can u put one up of your black volitan? that would be cool to watch.

  • @xyle786 Wtf is a tetrapond stick?

  • thats cool i want to teach mine that, how long did it take you?

  • nice lionfish.

  • ur going to get stung. lol

  • my lionfish do the same cool huh

  • haha dangerous

  • kool

  • hehe funny if u got spiked, not like they r life threatening anyways

  • what size is the tank? becareful, and don't get sting...

  • That shit is poison boi!!!
