RIP Larry Knechtal

.I have loved his playing for many years. He played on nearly EVERY hit that came out of LA in the 60s and 70s...... at one point: seven #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits in a row! The arrang. & piano solo on BridgeOverTW by S& G were him. He rocked the keyboards on every record by Mamas & Papas' , dueted w/ Keyboard Wizard Joe Sample on Joan Baez' Diamonds and Rust lp. and.... played bass on the Doors records (they didn't have a bassist) & Mr Tambourine Man by the Byrds.

I remember that Billboard's Single's ChartBeat was certain this would be a Top Ten hit. It was very rare for a record other than the Beatle's to get that kind of prediciton. I was so ruined when the single didn't break the Top 40. Should have been #1.
