  • um... just curious, is it me or do ALL of joseph's brothers seem a lot darker than him?

  • @Papped1710 they do have a different mother, so I guess that would be why ^^

  • I can't help think while the fight and the song and dance number goes on...where the heck is Leah?

  • They just needed Jacob in the movie the grey to have survived :)

  • @clashingimages Lol your right....or his father....but a knife and broken bottles will have to do. :/

  • wish I dreamed in vincent van gogh paintings too.

  • @kace2011 lol i was thinking the same thing

  • where did Leah go?

  • Those are some intense wolves. I, for one, would be running the other way.

  • Isn't the little lamb one of the cutest things you've ever seen? <333

  • one thing really bothers me in this movie: Where is Benjamin? the younger brother of Joseph!

  • @TheLahna87 Not born yet. He shows up later in the movie. (Which you've probably figured out already if you finished it, haha.)

  • @emFF5luver But then this movie doesn't go correctly, in the Bible Benjamin was already born when Joseph's brothers sold him to wanderers.

  • @TheLahna87 True, the movie changed up several details. Oh well. It's fun to watch. :)

  • @TheLahna87 also, in the bible, Reuben was the eldest, not Judah. Judah was fourth.

  • Reuben was the oldest. Why does this movie talk like Judah is?

  • He dreams in Van Gogh style weird...

  • "we've gone to far" that's an under statement!

  • awww!! x3 when you see joseph fall in to the pit you see judah reach out to help him but well, by then its too late and he pulls his hand back BUT STILL!!!! it shows he cares a little bit right? yay for brotherly care!! :D

  • @LionshadeElricfan that was just Hollywood putting in a little something. The only person who truly cared was Reuben, whom they rarely talk about in this movie. He was the one to convince them to put him in a pit instead of killing him, and fully intended to get him out soon. And he wasn't in on selling Joseph either.

  • @Zacurafire stills!!! at least one of them cares for him!! :D what did reuben want to do then? just leave him alone?

  • @LionshadeElricfan LoL! No, Reuben was planning on helping him escape later and return him to Jacob. Still, I don't know where he was when they sold Joseph to the Ishmeliates.

  • @LionshadeElricfan reuben planned to come back when they were asleep and save him, and when he found out they sold him, he became enraged

  • It's sad because after Joseph is done talking to his mother and he runs off you realize that that is the last time he ever sees his mother again

  • im not even christian and i love this movie :)

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been sharing it with my son. :-)

  • they should make one about the last revelation

  • Omg those son of a b$&@h

  • @TheTurbanTV Not All Christians Criticize Other Religions, If They Did, They're Not Real Christians.

  • love this movie and prince of Egypt dream works shod make another one

  • Wow incredible. I love Gid and there is only ONE God:) but were his brothers really this crule?

  • @sillysilvergirl1357 the real question is were they really this hot?? lol jk XD

  • love this movie :)

  • so sad Joseph never got to see his mother again

  • i'm confused she said none is better than the rest but they raised joseph saying that he was better?

  • I wouldn't mind sheep herding and fighting off wolves instead of swimming, I love animals, and yes I actually DID growl and showed my teeth when my dog growled at me, besides, I've got hydro-phobia....

  • that's what bad parenting does. causes the family to break apart.

  • Why do movies always portray wolves as evil? It's seriously annoying!

  • @CPCoulterTweedles why are going on about just the wolves? they always portray bears as evil (except brohter bear). and wolves ARE predators. they're not innocent siantly creatures, if that's what you're trying to say

  • @naamhier I agree with you about bears-- they're often unfairly portrayed as well. It just annoys me that wolves avoid people and only kill livestock when they are unable to find any other prey, but people still portray them as villains.

  • @CPCoulterTweedles well, there's balto. That puts them in a good light... though you're right, most of them don't get a good deal in movies

  • @CPCoulterTweedles Agreed, they very rarely get a fair deal. Wolves are almost always portrayed as those evil cruel bloodthirsty predators, though the real animals are actually quite fascinating. But in this case, I guess the filmmakers didn't have many other options. What with the Shepherd thing and sheep being the obvious prey for a wulf, I guess they really had to go for em.

  • @hulleywood1 It's "Sheaves of wheat" not "Sheph Greet" XD

  • I understand that jacob was being an ass, but the brothers were very wrong treat joseph like that even after he said that he wanted to be like them.

  • am i the only one who thinks joseph looks like a faggot in the coat?

  • @baileydogify language!

  • @baileydogify could be lol

  • joseph was jacobs favored son but it didn't mean that he didn't love his other sons ..

  • @ 3:57 "should i be scared?" lol

  • @TheTurbanTV Not all christians! I don't care to criticize. Believe what you want, you know?

  • all these details were added and it pictures the father and the son as normal ppl which is wrong , they were prophets.. and i wonder why jacob was not told that his son is alive !

  • in the real story, joseph did not tell them the dream, his father told him ur brothers will envy you , do not ever tell them ! they did all this without telling them the dream

  • best brothers in the wourld dont you thinck

  • Jacob must be delusional. He spends his entire childhood hating his older brother because his father prefers him, and then does the same thing to his son?

  • Thats incorrect his mom favored Jacob over his twin brother, and Jacob is acting like any parent who thinks the world of his child.

  • @Disneythievesrock The son will take after the father. Even in Joseph's case. he declared that his younger son, Ephraim, would have dominance over his older son, Manasseh, on his death bed, and Jacob did it again, by foretelling that his fourth son, Judah, would be the strongest and the leader, even though his first born was Reuben, and Simeon and Levi were older than Judah, as well.

  • The wolves growling makes me think of Balto :) the 2nd one I believe.. ^_^

  • I like the art design that the filmmakers went with in the dream sequences - reminiscent of Van Gogh.

  • @transientfragility maybe they did 4,000 years ago, Joseph's time?

  • since when did sunflowers grow in the middle east??

  • @transientfragility

    they do grow !

  • i just love the song better than i from this movie,it makes me cry when i hear it :-(

  • 1:35 YOU SHALL NOT PASSS!!!!!!

  • YOU ASKED FOR IT AND HE TOLD YOU SO DONT GET MAD WHEN YOU DONT LIKE IT!!!!

  • @myhatsaysPINKSPAZ calm down buddy

  • At 1:06 to 1:11 WHY ARE THEY GROWLING?!

  • @TheTurbanTV

    Lol, that makes no sence.

  • dreams look like van gogh

  • The part where Joseph has the dream and the dream really happened, I know a lot of you will be calling me a luny but it happens with me too. Weird. But I think it's God's way of sending me a message.

  • actually its more likely to be your own abilities rather than god

  • hehe its allways a sheep taking them to place where the story is going to develop

  • 1:53 HARRY! DID YA PUT YUR NAME IN DA GOBLETDAFIYURAH?!?!?!?! D; lol everyday, I find a Harry Potter reference... *trollface*

  • @FemaleQuillTip o.m.g. YES!!! xD

  • @pantstelly I noticed that.

  • Is Judah old as Joseph's mother? It looks like it.

  • 0:50- sheepie wants to play!!! :D

  • 1:44 We'll be back for you, old man.

My head just randomly said that in Maugrim's voice from Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe.

  • The dad's like 60, and the wife is like 25.....wtf?

  • Dreamworks should do an adaptation of the Book of Esther, that would be AWESOME!!!

  • @HistoryLover1550 i was just about to type up the same thing, then i saw this comment lol XD

  • Thousands of families, especially royal ones, would envy Jacob and Rachel for the many sons they had.

  • @HistoryLover1550 They only had two sons together...They had Joseph and then later on they had Benjamin. The rest of Jacob's sons were with Leah, Rachel's older sister.

  • @12TheEnigma You're right about that.

  • @12TheEnigma actually, they were their maidservents.

  • @12TheEnigma and Rachel and Leah's seperate maidservents.

  • This movie's good despite the liberties it takes from the biblical story.

  • pause at 2:16 XDDDD

  • You actually have to pity how some of the family members in these stories are set up to be the villains: Joseph is always treated differently, and thus is set up to be disliked by his brothers, who in turn are set up to be the "villains".

Same with Moses and his adopted brother Pharaoh: God deliberately hardens Pharaoh's heart to prove a point, and poor Pharaoh and Moses are simply along for the ride.

  • How can stars bow?

  • No... he didn't deserve it.... it sounds like it but selling your brother is wrong... no matter what even if they're only "half brother" it's still evil... you must forgive... forgiving is way easier than revenge.... trust me

  • I know brothers can hate brothers sometimes, but selling one of them?Thats beyond cruel and unforgiving..

  • Brother! Half Brother!

  • 2:06 did anyone notice that at first the older brothers were soaking wet then 5 seconds later they are completely dry.

  • GET BACK WOLVES! BEARDY JACOB IS HERE! THAT'S RIGHT!

  • DAYUM SHEPARD'S GOT SKILLZ!

  • isn't odd that Joseph became an importnat man in Egypt by God even though the Egyptians worshiped a different god? It just seem so odd that he would be powerful in a nation that has different beliefs from the belief that got him there in the first place!?!

  • @musiqtube1 It's because Joseph could explain Pharaoh's dream. None of the priests of the Egyptian gods could. Plus, it was by the power and grace of God.

  • @musiqtube1 That is called Irony, my good friend.

  • It is so sad that it was the last time he saw his mom.. remember guys! love your mother and show her it, tell her it, yes be her support ang help.. You don't know when the last time you'll see her...

  • selling his brother for a handful of silver.

    iexpectthatfromajew.jpg lol

  • anyone else find it interesting that he dreams in van gogh style?

  • why are the women so damned beautiful? Honestly? Can't they just be normal ANYWHERE?

  • Comment removed

  • @DarkBellatrix ancient time people lived naturally, labour work kept them healthy, fresh air- no polluted air or water, beautiful night under the stars, lived on mountains where there was a lot of naturally grown food, fresh meat from the flocks, away from cities noises and what not... they were Spiritual people kept them tunes with themselves and the world around them, kept close contact with families and people. I used to live in the desert for 10 years, i have great idea. and i want it back.

  • Argh, I like the dreamworks movies of Moses and Joseph, but I like how the Islamic versions are so much more honorable. This portrays Joseph as a spoilt brat, I hate it this way DX

  • @AsteriyealAeowina

Yes, the original and most ancient truth in the Hebrew Torah is greater than any movie.

  • I AGREE

  • Well... personally -in the movie- I feel really bad for the sons (minus joseph)... And the dad's a jerk. He puts his "miracle child" above all his other sons...

Sure Joseph may be special, but if Jacob treats him better than all the rest, it only spoils Joseph and hurts the others. :( I can totally see where the brothers are coming from..

  • @luvyakisses Me too but selling him to slave-runners may be going a little too far.

  • Comment removed

  • @luvyakisses The brothers were already pretty bad considering how they committed murder, but its like jacob didn't want them because he married leah, who he never loved. Rachel on the other hand was loved by jacob the most, which resulted in joseph being loved more. However, considering joseph's age it should be pretty obvious because he is still a child or teenager, you usually get told what to do when your much older, but joseph is just a kid so yea lol

  • dude outrunning wolves? shiiiiiiiiiiit

  • When Jacob asks Joseph where his brothers are is he (Jacob) askin cuz he wants to know why they didn't save Joseph or was he ACTUALLY concerned for them (cuz this entire movie Jacob doesn't seem to care about his other sons) :'(

  • Juda, juda, juda!....what a funny name.

  • @TheRandomPrincess01 and Simion isnt... they all kinda have funny names (the brothers anyway except benjimin and joseph)

  • Oh. He died.

  • why do they have to make wolves look bad ,wolves are awesome.

    tell us your dream joseph

joseph: ok, YOU WILL ALLL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hahah lol.

  • I feel sorry for joseph, and the brothers are too mean, but I think it was Jacob's fault.

  • i love rachel...such a wonderful mother...it's sad she dies not being able to see joseph again :(

  • I think Joseph forgot his shoes somewhere. He's running around barefoot. That can't be comfortable.

  • ik there is probably a lot of unrealistic things about this movie but I have to point out you cannot out run a pack of wolves. and they had a head start!

  • His brothers are ass holes

  • @Demonie0603 he was kind of a douchebag too.

  • Wow religion only causes fighting

  • What happened to Benjamin, and his mother being dead, and being sold as a slave?

  • I wonder how accurate this movie is...

  • @sonatablue232 It's not a 100% accurate so you've got that right. :) It leaves out the fact that Judah isn't actually the oldest- Reuben is. And Reuben actually hid Joseph (in the pit) from the other brothers and he would come back for him because the other brothers were going to do something to him. (Reuben actually loved Joseph) But when Reuben returned, he found out that Joseph wasn' t in the pit anymore. He was sold to the caravan.

  • dreams look like Vangogh picture

  • Poor Joseph. My older sister always bullies me too.

  • Nice movie, but uploading them onto YouTube will always stir up religious debates. I myself am agnostic and don't follow any religion nor do I believe in any specific deity. But for anyone who does... or doesn't for that matter... shut up and just watch the movie.

  • "APOLOGIZE TO EACH OTHER!"

    *continues to walk away*

Mhm, you got some reeeal authority there =P

  • lol Joseph, lord of the Weed.

  • Dragon2Fire, if you read Genesis chapter 37 through chapter 50, you will discover the entire story of Joseph. According to Scripture, there was one other brother after Joseph, and his name was Benjamin. If you take time to read these chapters, you will discover an intriguing account of how a young man, called by God, was led thru many challenges.. Joseph ws young and a bit prideful. The Lord allowed Joseph to endure much preparing him for leadership.

  • Besttt Storyyy Everr In The Bibblle <3 :)

  • I have three little brothers. and i try to love them the same. but its so hard when i have one who loves to get hugs, one who hate hugs and one who its like an copy of me XD just in male and younger XDD

  • @Lottechu well i think in this part benjamin his little brother was not born yet rachel died after benjamin was born

  • LOLS theyre playing chicken!

  • Why are their nipples under their arms? O.o

  • @Elphie021 LOLOLOLOLOLROFLROFLROFLROFLMFAOLMFAOLFAOLMFAO.

    There not XDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • .... well telling them "that" dream... he was kinda asking for it... lol

  • @killuazaoldyekdragn In the Bible, they didn't even tease him, just threw him in the pit. They would have killed him if Reuben hadn't intervened.

  • @killuazaoldyekdragn how? They're the ones who asked to hear it.

  • @alexandruthegreat95 true, but it was obvious that the brothers were mad at him and i think it would have been smarter if he had changed the dream when he told it to them just so it wouldnt have sounded like he's way more superior then them... BUT God had a plan and it worked out in the end so it dosent really matter ^^

  • @alexandruthegreat95

palastine is cold ! also sunny in summer, olive, flowers , fruites.. name it !

  • I know exactly how Joseph felt!

I am the youngest and my oldest sister is always saying things like:

"I beg you, start to act like a normal person" or "Even a man possessed acts less insane than you"

I am working whole my life (I'm 15) to prove her that I am a good loving sister. I always wished to tell her: "Look, THAT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT I'M THE YOUNGEST, OK? So please stop critic me! I AM NOT that bad!"

I feel sympathy to every youngest kid, because I know how it's like... It's realy horible

  • @ImLothLuin yeah it can be bad im also a younger sister my older sister and I are 8 years apart. She called me spoiled alot as a kid and it hurt alot but now that im 19 and we get along better i relized how my parents treated us diffrent. or maybe its not even that we are treated diffrent its that little children are coddled over and same with our older simblings they were coddled too but because they see the younger child being coddled it changes their view on us

  • @ImLothLuin I'm not gonna get into a debate because we've lived two separate lives but since I'm an eldest child I know how its like to put up with a younger sister. A lot of the time the youngest siblings act like they know as much as you do and try to compare themselves with you(I'm not saying you do that) but realize both younger and older siblings have their faults. Which is why sibling rivalry exists! The rivalry comes from both sides :D

  • look see! someone made a grab for him! they aren't heartless!!!!

  • @Dragon2Fire

only one though what i wanna know is where is Joesph's little bothers and in the bible story rachel is dead

  • Holy shit, Mark Hamil?

  • 8 people are jealous of their spoiled younger siblings...

  • Rachael's the only one who doesn't piss me off. Why did she marry that old coot? *cries*

  • Where's the other wifey? Not shown because it's a kid's movie?

  • @almondherring dead. idiot.

  • @almondherring shes dead u idiot!!!!!!!!!

  • i feel bad for his brothers cause they are treated equal

  • at the end of the story, is the youngest brother aka benjamine, joseph full brother, or just a half?

  • @e7l13 Full brother. He was the second and last child Rachael had before she died.

  • @ZeldaQueen64 thanks =)

  • they are very jealous of Joseph Rachel and Jacob treat him like a king or some thing so his brothers are tired of Jacob and Rachel treating them like nothing when Joseph was born they took out there arms to hold Joesph but Jacob close the curtain and continued to look at Joesph

  • his brothers are totally really are assholes

  • I felt bad for Joseph, his father favoriting him over his brothers, his brothers loathing him because of it, and all he wanted was to be a normal guy and be with his brothers.

  • Jesus had brothers too, I wonder since they are hardly mentioned at all if they got on his back growing up, so he gave them no heed in the Bible?

  • I watched a clay-mation version of this once. It was like the Jesus one but it was better than this. Still it is a good movie

  • this vid ends on a nice cliff hanger

  • 1:51 "Ur brothers? Where are they?IASKEDYOUAQUESTION!!" (lol no time to respond WHATSOEVER)
