@012751W124K - Actually it's a spray on tan that is done to show off the muscles better during the show. Basically everyone does it because it casts better shadows off my muscles so you can see the definition better. Don't worry, it washes off after the show.
...the carbs (glycogen) will engorge the muscle cell while at the same time the sodium cut will remove the water that the skin is holding. best for this is white potatoes as the carb. eat your normal protein (no eggs-pref. chicken breast only) and no condiments/sodium AT ALL. I know you'd look amazing if you didi this. the idea is to swell the muscle while at the same time drying out the skin and tightening it up around that engorged muscle...its called peaking. might try a test peak mid-diet 2c
Its wierd in that you gave up carbs for the last couple weeks and went lighter reps 'to get blood flowing'. it doesn't appear you did any sodium depletion combined with carb loading and then water cut back. you seem very flat with no cuts. i'd recommend, 2-3 days out, double carb intake, scaling back about 10% each day to contest day while also drinking tons of water and cutting sodium. cut water (sip only when thirsty or with meals) the day of the show...
bodybuilders dont tan themselves cuz they think its cool. they only tan during the tournaments so there is more muscle definition when they're on stage in the spotlight
