you can find lots of alien blasters..ive had up to four of them...i keep them in my house because you only have so much ammo..I could have had five but i died..this is how it happened. I was just walking around when i ran into some people they started to fire at me about the time i got my gut out i saw that one had an alien blaster i was going into vats mode when i died by it...so what im getting at is you can get more then one maybe more then five

there is also another alien gu right near where you are and more ammo, if you look around the area in the dark youll see a load of ammo and it leads to another dead alien and some more ammo and a gun

Greener Pastures disposal site is nearby. Look at the map in Full screen and click the HQ button. Look at the maps features then compare it to the map in your pipboy.

You can find lots of ammo in the Brotherhood Outcast Building and in Broken Steel towards the end there is alot in an armoury as well as a second Alien Blaster. I might post it soon.

I found some of the ammo for this somewhere just outside the capital. Just noticed some glowing stuff on the ground and thought "Hey free stuff!" It had the name of "Alien fuel cell" pretty cool...

You can find the ammo by the random encounters. There is a noise in the sky and you will find it scattered about in that general area, Other random encounters are strange people and weapons.

After you do the quest take it back. Are you able to go back and do all the side quests or should you do the side quests first

I did about half the missions then did alot of side quests. Dont start the last mission as alot of things you'll find you can't do anymore.

There is special ammo found with the gun. (the white cylindars). There are other locations to find the ammo. Most are just found by a random encounter which I will post a video of later.

There are some containers in Fort Bannister or Fort Independence (Not sure which)that contain 6 power cells and 21 power cell when being encountered by the "Firelance Random Event". This is all I know.

ammo is actually less limited than people think. there is the stash with the gun and there are also other stashes that don't come with the gun, so are useless unless you find the crashed ship. i've already found enough ammo for about 600 shots

Alien Blaster really is great weapon =). Allthough really good gun is that Android´s Plasmarifle when you have Energyweapons-skill maxed up. I use that all the time and maintain that gun in good condition.

I just finnished videos to all the bobbleheads. I am going to work on videos for all the special weapons. I think the one you are talkingabout is the A3-21's Plasma Rifle. Another good one is the Firelance (another alien weapon)
