I hate that these people only have weeks to get to know each other, and all the while he's also dating other women too! And all of their dates are in highly unrealistic situations: everywhere they go is shut down and just for them! And they never just experience normal life together. When reality hits after the glam of the show is over, none of these relationships has enough substance to last, unfortunately.

Nope, I think you're right. She's playing with Matt obviously. I think Shayne knows more than she's letting up; she's just amping the ditzy but cute blonde act. For some its endearing, for others its absolutely irritating; but in fairness to Shayne, she has the uncanny sense of timing. She knows when to put on the act, and when to drop it.
