plug a wah wah in backwards (instrument and amp cords reversed, wah not through effects loop) it does what he is doing, and can be manipulated by rocking the wah and/or playing with the tone knobs on your guitar. then add a wammy pedal to kick it up some octaves, a delay and floating trem system on your guitar and you have it. i stumbled on that by accident one day.

he just have his delay on in the intro. his pickup is like "broken". tom tested a guitar on Ibanez and they say they are going to fix the pickup but tom say no! he like the sound in the pickup and Ibanez put the pickup on a guitar and tom make the intro only with the pickup and his delay. the guitars name is Ibanez Custom Talman.

he uses a metal pad on his guitar that creates a buzzing sound when you touch it...its like unplugging your guitar and taking the jack, while the amp is still on, and touching something metal. thats what he used to do, until they made a guitar specifically for that....and after he creates the buzzing sound, he uses different effects to create crazy sounds with the buzz

I had them for a few years cuz of zack...but they get itchy as hell, they take a tremendous amount of patience to grow till they look reel good, it's harder to get a job, u have to deal with stupid questions (can you wash it?) and people are always coming up to you asking where the doobage at.
