AWesome!!well said. i love how you said you finally "Gave Birth". That's exactly what i have always felt has been missing for me and my daughter after her Cesarean. I never gave birth. And she was suddenly, unnaturally ripped out of my womb. How can anything so natural as birth be construed to be a crisis that a woman and baby must be rescued from?Thank you for this perfect illustration of the ridiculous and illogical fable we have allowed our perspective on childbirth to twist into.
Thanks for the recent comments. I am happy to share my story in hopes that it will encourage other couples to get well informed and avoid unnecessary c-sections.
Most doctors do unnecessary C-sections because of less chance of being sued if there's a mark on the baby, or complications. Hospitals still are behind in learning from Dr. Lamaze, who found out babies had a better survival rate if they are given to the mother right away to bond, warm up, and feel wanted (they also made better grades and were more well adjusted adults). He also didn't cut the umbilical cord until it collapsed. The medical profession , it seems, is always at least 50 years behind.
How a child is born is very important. Babies that are allowed to be born as nature intended have better outcomes. They begin life the way they were designed to begin it.
Having major surgery when it really isn't at all necessary IS a big deal!
@mammabutterfly75 its impossible to understand the power of natural birth unless you've done it. She is happy with her children but she knew there was another blessing she was missing out on
Que lindo asi le digo a mi nina tamien que ella es mi regalo de Dios y la respuesta de mis oraciones. Que Dios te bedice mas! Que fuete y orgulla de mujer eres
Congratulations on finally getting the beautiful birth you dreamed of! Our bodies were meant to birth this way so it is no wonder we long for a peaceful natural birth. My first two were born naturally in the hospital, and even so, when I had my homebirth I felt things I had never felt during my hospital births before. Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations on your beautiful family, I look at these videos of home deliveries with mixed feelings. Babies are such blessings and miracles. However, as a labor and delivery nurse I know how wrong things can go and would not chance that happening for myself at a home delivery. Babies can end up in distress so quickly from tight cords, mec staining, prolonged rupture of membranes and shoulder dystocia just to name a few. Read and ask lots of questions before a home delivery.
Yes, I agree. It is important to read and ask lots of questions. Most situations can be handled at home with a well experienced and knowledgable midwife.
@nurseldrp true, home birth requires u 2 take responsibilty. More things go wrong in hospy coz interventions cause them. The risk is about even, but 4 different things, and u will cop more flack if it goes wrong at home.

this was an amazing video! Thanks for sharing. I have had one hospital birth, natural, but still remarkably different than my other 2 home births... soon to be 3 home births. The peace at a home birth is only something you have to experience to really get it. So happy for you guys! Be blessed!

i had a home birth with my first when i was 16 with all my family and friends around me and no midwife i dnt think i could of done it any other way its the most wonderful thing ever and so glad u experienced it an never lost the FAITH :-)
Thanks for sharing this. You have proved that it can be done. I had a C-Section a year ago and as much as you are greatful for your child being in this world and healthy, you still feel cheated. You carry this child in you for 40 weeks and then don't get the feeling of giving birth to that blessing. Again thanks for sharing, you are an inspiration to all women around the world wanting a VBAC!! =]
Nice to see you got what you wanted. I was abit concerned at your apprent anger at the people that had in turn helped bring your other 3 children "safely" into the world. I am disabled and a caesar is going to be my "only" choice if i decide on having a child so I would be grateful to those that could help me achieve that. Sorry if it sounds harsh but I just feel you really showed alot of angst toward the wonderful hospital staff...
P.S Your children look so cute your lucky to have them.
c-sections are awesome for people like you, wilo, who need them. but there is a rising section rate in the US today because so many doctors preform them out of convenience, not out of need. so for her to feel angry and frustrated is natural. and for you to be grateful will also be natural when your time comes. most women are treated like they are broken when they in fact are fully capable of birthing naturally. i speak from experience.
You're correct, I DO have anger because my THREE (1,2,AND3)c-sections were all medically unnecessary. A cesarean can be a wonderful blessing if it is done for the right reasons. However when a woman is tricked into an unjustified major surgery ...it can be her worst nightmare!
I am glad that modern technology gives you the oportunity to have a child if you choose to have one someday. I wish u the best on whatever u decide.
A wonderful video. Great job mama! I will hopefully have a VBAC my next time around. I am so happy for you, that you finally got the birth you wanted. Congratulations!

sometimes a c section is the BEST way to go and if it's the safe way to go then you should

Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. But sometimes it's not the BEST way to go or the healthiest.

what is the big deal of having a vaginal birth you should be glad that every birth you had a healthy and happy child not how it got here
