to get rid of ich with my goldfish I use a med called Quich Cure, you add one drop per gallon of water once daily. Once there are no more signs of ich, continue the treatment for 3 more days. You have to remove the carbon in your filter so remember to do good water changes, I do about 75 percent every 2 days and I keep my sponge in the filter box to collect bigger thingd and it will not suck up the medication. That is all I know about the med., you can get it at pets inc. or other pet stores
