@m1leswilliams Unfortunately for you, you're a fucking idiot. Each degree make a big difference when doing an instrument approach. But you would not know that seeing that you probably have never stepped foot in an aircraft. Go fuck yourself bitch.
@m1leswilliams I didn't know I was being graded for my grammar on Youtube. So in that case, a comma was not needed before "and" and it should be "I thought I'd" not " I'd thought I'd". Before you call people out for improper grammar, make sure you know proper grammar as well, kiddo.
A problem with the NOSE gear, children; that's the wheels at the NOSE end.... as we have told you repeatedly, banging on for FORTY FIVE minutes... this is so exciting. Fuck my, how do you poor Americans deal with the hyperbolic nightmare of television in your country?
@sxmadrid No their media is right the rest of the world watches propaganda. Tell a Yank to watch Al Jazeera to see the other side of the middle East issues and they think it is run by terrorists.
Lance Mark Zeidman of Ft. Lauderdale is a CON ARTIST thief who rips off hard-working people. He's a CROOK who gets folks to invest in his bogus companies only to disappear with the money-he's a slick lizard who turns on the charm & takes advantage to get people to invest with him. If he tries to get you to conduct ANY kind of business with him-DON'T. He's now trying to sell insurance.through Guarantee Acceptance. DO NOT trust this man or you'll regret it. He has NO CONSCIENCE & will rip you off!
I'm sure he does, just need a steady hand. I could of done it also but some people on this world are so uncoordinated with their hands, we are all born different.
@jeffbiggles Anything in aviation is big news for a reason... 9/11. Nobody ever knows what to expect. It should be big news, it's not like its a typical everyday occurrence.
we had teh startup and txiid tto the rwy and then . . . amyday lh422 change rwy ,rwy 26 is closed repead rwy 26 is closead. tower where we can make a backtrack? try somewhere you can't takeoff at rwy 26 and tehn we saw from the cockpit this md 80 coming and then we waited 6 hours before we could takeoff at rwy 26
nearly exact same thing happened to me flying from amsterdam to london, but one of the back right tyres blew off on take off in stead, the scariest time of my life by far, 40 mins flight turned into 2 hour ordeal, the worse thing for the passengers is not knowing what is wrong with the under carriage and obviously hearing the captain say brace for impact was pretty mental!even though it was alright in the end im always a bit scared of flying now!
"The aircraft will try to feather at much as possible" This guy is a jackass
To prove my point even more. He states "the front tire looks flat and you can see the rubber hanging back" That is the deflector to prevent debris or too much water from being bounced up into the engine. The main gears have it too but a little different. All MD-88 and other variants have it including the B-717
Pfft, no flare? xD a little more would be much safer. And wat a coincidence, I just was playing flight simulator X and I had to do an emergency landing with no engines on runway 26L...
tht dumb pilot should have gone to ord if its just a nose gear problem this kinda shit happens all the time ... definitely something it hit during the take off roll....
Pretty sure that the decision was made along with experts from the FAA or something. And I'm pretty sure that they know more than you on a subject like this.
Regardless of who made the decision, the video clearly stated that the plane was "ordered" to land at Miami.
And nonetheless, I'm still sure that whoever made the decision to turn around, whether its the pilot or someone on the ground, knows a hell of a lot more about aircraft than you do.
But I can guarantee you that the pilots and anyone else who was in charge of the decision to ground that plane has much more experience and education in the field than you do.
Being an enthusiast (which is you) is one thing, but these people are professionals and have been flying aircraft and making these decisions for years. If you think you're qualified to make a decision on flying a plane with a broken nose gear, then I laugh.
gankala8...you are an idiot. If you knew anything about flying or aircraft, then you should know that Miami was a great place to go and there wouldn't have been enough fuel on board, to fly at the landing gear extended limitation speed, to make it to Chicago. Don't comment on something you obviously know nothing about. Go back to playing flight sim and let the real flying be left to us professionals.
Leave it to the media to act like they know whats going on. The black thing you see behind the nose gear tires is a spray deflector to keep water, snow, ect from spraying into the engines and cabin air inlets during taxi, takeoff, and landing. What is unknown to them, is anything about flying.
pretty sure the pilots and the FAA know a lot more than you do about flight. They did what war right. Don't call someone dumb when they are smarter than you...
So, it is, to expense to make space at front, they can put another whell, behind the normal, to make emergency landing like this, sure this xtra tire will works, manualy, not automatic, maybe, helps a lot, instead a waiting for a miracle, like this, you never know, this one was excellent, but the next????, sure will be more
the camera man sucked, they were so focused on the front they need to show the whole plane when it's landing, why's there a bird chirping shoot the bird
I always travel AA...look at every other airline. Delta had a door fall off, jet blue had way more serious gear problems, continental has sewage back ups and crappy planes and American, well they had on minor gear mishap. Weigh the options.
Not only food, but what about that woman who died because of empty oxygen tanks, etc.? I guess we have to pay for oxygen too and a defibrillator. I wonder if the drop down masks had oxygen or if that is a facade too. AA may have been regal once, but something changed.
Well, I have read the American Airlines FA website and apparently, the FAs were forced to take massive pay cuts while Gerard Arpey and put huge bonuses into their pockets. AA is also having many problems and is now cutting back 11% of its flights and charging $15.00 for the first bag checked. They also had 3000 planes grounded for a serious maintenance problem -- faulty wiring. AA management knew those planes needed maintenance but they let people fly anyway. I feel bad for the employees.
again, don't listen to the news... Arpey isn't the only airline CEO taking bonuses. Not only AA is charging for bags. And faulty wiring my ass, they had to be in line with the FAA AD to which the airline was not compromising safety. It had to do with the ties of the wiring being so many inches off of what the FAA considers okay, because of the Southwest incident where the FAA screwed up they wanted to make a point about inspections. Stop listening to the news you will only get bad info.
I read that the Continental CEO is taking a pay cut for the rest of the year to save Continental. Arpey has AA dangling by a string. Interesting what you wrote about the wiring.
