Great video, I have fought with SAD and several other ailments the Dr. refers to. I was only recently made aware of this unique vitamin that behaves more like a hormone and that search brought me here. This is a CRITICAL vitamin, why is this not VIRAL INFO? Thanks for this post.
@MoodyBlueCDN Hi, I think this is very important info and have done quite a few newsletters and teleseminars on it -- it did hit the front page of the New York Times, so it is out there somewhat.
I have seasonal affective disorder and I started taking vitamin D supplements and eating sardines and fatty fish as well as using a sun lamp with UV rays and now I have my summer mood even on the darkest of winter days
Problem is Leaky Gut and some other GUT issues cant absorb their vit D and also you need to take VIT D3 and K2 in one to max the D3 absorbtion.. I learned this from a Naturapath Dr, I found some drops by GEnenis who carries that combo.. working great for me..
@joydarling314 Hi. Yes, Vitamin D3 is better. I have actually written an article on this particular topic - why D3 is best! You can see it on my website (LifeSpa.com) /BestVitaminD
Yeah. They scare us from an early age that the sun is bad. That's so we stay out of it. They even gave us the vampire myth: Immortality = good. Sunlight = bad. Why? Because there is an element that the sun emits in all directions that's faster than the speed of light (which from the sun takes 8 seconds). This substance that the sun emits that penetrates everything it encounters in all directions and of which there seems to be no limitations on it's reach is neutrinos. Google THAT sometime...
@serumclx It seems that rodents have a very low Lethal dose (LD-50) for cholecalciferol. Humans do not. There are an numerous studies done on Vitamin D toxicity - as long as you regularly test for Vit D levels and keep them in the target zone - 50-80ng/ml, normal range is 30-100ng/mg - there is no risk. Optimal levels are just the high end of normal.
If you live north of the 43rd parallel being out in the sun only works between May and September, even then only between 11am to 2pm, and then only if you have 40% of your skin exposed and finally, you cannot wash with soap for 48 hours after the sun exposure or you will just wash the vitamin D that you have produced away as it is produced near the surface of the skin and washes away like any oil in soap. The moral is: take supplements.
The toxic kind, D2, is made from ergosterol, a fungal steriod. It is the form of vitamin D used in prescriptions in North America. Optimizing your sun exposure and levels of Vitamin D3 may be one of the most important physical steps you can take in support of your long-term health.
if u look at ur cod liver oil nutrition facts itl say that theres 200 units of vit D. we actually need 10,000- 20,000 units of vitamin D3 FOR ANY OF THESE GOOD EFFECTS. stop using these suncreams.
This is a real serious issue! I'm glad he made this available for us. I have questions. There are vitamin D1, D2, D3 right? Is "vitamin D" includes all 3 of them? That is because i read on the internet that vitamin D3 helps with the fatty stuff and vitamin D2 prevents alzheimer n stuff. If there are specific types of vitamin D's, which vitamin D is good for thyroid diseases?
Just remember, you can get D from foods other than milk. Milk is supposed to be not too good for you in and of itself. broccoli is good and so are eggs. so is sunlight. go outside for like 15-20 mins a day and get your vitamin D.
thank you doc, my D level went up from 27ng/ml to 128ng/ml in just 2 months. I was using 50 000IU per day and I feel better. My nails and hair grow faster and I haven't had a cold since then.
This man looks healthy, vitamin D is good.
I take 15,000 units of vitamin D a day.

I am 25 and my level of vitamin D is 6.8 ng/ml. I have a severe pain in bones and muscles, headache, fatigue, inability to focus and other things.
My manager is tough and i am struggling in my job :(
My doctor put me on 5000 IU daily instead of giving me a mega dose couple times a week or month. Don't know which one is the right protocol.
