wow. obviously youve never been in a big line. first of all this camera is bad and making it sound bad. then the sound delay down a line will make it sound dirty even when they are clean. An end snare on a big line hears dirt even when its clean because delay down the line from the other end. This is happening due to this persons angle.
like its clean at the beginning and when its dirty it was almost the exact same angle that they were at before, and im pretty sure rhythm x had a huge snare line and they were spotless even with the shittiest cameras.
As much as I love the blue devils, I don't think they deserved first. I think that the Godfather was more musical and enjoyable than 2007. Coats or phantom should have at least taken the drum title, imo.
I think Cavies placed WAY too high. the politics were really evident in 3-7th this year. 2nd in drums and 7th overall? ridiculous. Coats GE was insane. i dont see why they placed 7th in my op 3rd was phantom 4th and 5th go to coats and Crown. 6th and 7th cavies and SCV. People woulda crapped to see Cavies that far down but i personally couldnt care less. their show was not up to par this year.
i agree this show and madison scouts should of had a better placement and what happened to the guy when he said "anything you play will be aginsted you"
There is no doubt this show should have placed higher. We kind of wondered what happen with the scoring. But I hope those guys don't wait for a judge to claim their good. It so evident in the theaters 2007 they were musically more powerful that everyone except blue devils.

Coats totally got jipped this year!! Last year it was the exact opposite, we stayed ahead of crown and SCV. This year the judges must have been blind and deaf! Your hornline should have finished 2nd at finals, pit didnt get what they deserved and theres no way SCV had a cleaner show!!
I said CLEANER, not so much the show design. I liked SCV but IMO there were a lot of holes and weak percussive writing parts. The score between 3rd thru 7th could really have went any way depending on which set of judges was on the field.
SCV got really freaking clean the last week. especially in drill. they did what they do almost every year. they made a push at finals, and bluecoats were in their way. they deserved it. the only corps i truly believed got screwed was phantom. i think the green team might have played the "but we're the cavaliers" card and got away with third.

It's amazing the detail you can't see from uptop. For instance the bari/euph section with the little Bond at 1:45-ish til about 1:55ish. Too cool. BLUE! And yes, they TOTALLY got jipped.

Keep in mind that whoever's holding the camera isn't staged very well. If they were at the 50 it would sound a lot cleaner.
