  • Peple in Africa build with natural materials until white man change everything.

  • What's the name of the company that make / sell these panels?

  • Giant ikea flat pack

  • How many gallons does it take? HOW MANY NYE?! TELL ME!!

  • @Murrison

about 1500-2000 gallons per person per year.

  • The rest of the world is much farther ahead in using renewable resources for building/gardening/etc. I am glad to see this but frustrated at the same time that it is not more prevalent. The houses don't have to look any different. They're just economically more sound and environmentally sound as well. I wish these panels were available at Home Depot.

  • @frankandcathy The rest of the non industrialized countries have been using the same earthy materials...and buying the by products of the developed nations because they did not create them, they did not have the tools in place to get rid of them (plastic products) so it became a nightmare because of the lack of landfills. They still today do not have the money to buy trash cans and dumpster trucks.

  • @MonyMG1959 - but they still keep popping out kids left and right...

  • @frankandcathy But if that happened then rich people would lose money, MADNESS I TELLS YA!

  • It definitely doesn't take 1 full acre of trees to build a house .. come on now.

  • yes actually it does. and depending on the size of the house it can take more than that

  • Well lots of factors involved, size of house .. how many trees they figure are in and acre ..

  • Standing trees not cut trees. Depending on how old the growth is.

  • But they said they were temporary homes.

  • I thought Bill Nye died? I guess I was told wrong.

  • Nice to see some new ideas to help victims of natural disasters.

  • pause at 2:15 and it says "Six acres of wheat "yields..."

  • such a tin walls and lit. haywire

  • Houses like this could be easily made to creat housing here in the US for the "poor and Needy" imagine this a normal house that costs 80,000 would cost 10k or less.. Huricane force winds well we all know that Huricanes are wet. so yes the are water proof and if seald right. it could last for years. Now the only enemy of this would be the...BANKS!

  • There is a lot of 'not so wealthy' countries that could benefit from this and even teh interiour walls of taditional brick houses

  • sweetness

  • The 3 pigs story was just propaganda by the same people who set the building codes, which just happen to be people from the cement and brick industries!

  • can these houses be purchased and improved upon for long term use?
