Hmm, agreed. It's not as easy as it sound to get in, especially if you're asian. Don't let those 25%ile SAT scores fool you.

20% of freshman spots are reserved for Alumni kids. And US Asians compete with International Asians to Keep admission #s low. Scores are the Highest for Asians on "admitted"ones. Underrepresented minorities have the lowest average scores-- yet get in due to desperation for "diversity." Cornell fails to achieve its quota for Affirmative Action, so Asians are suddenly tossed in the heap for Federal-State aide to be awarded. Re-think applying

I heard that if you're Asian, and if you live near in the Central New York region, the chances of getting in is actually a lot higher...
At least that's what everyone else is telling me, and I DO hope it's true. My letter comes in the mail next week. Yikes.
