The reporter says "nobody is really being hurt." But all taxpayers are being hurt - if the premiums are deductible, that means that tax revenue has to come from all tax payers.
We are essentially picking up the bill for companies to profit. Yes, there can be justification for insuring an employee, but if the company can essentially pass the premium cost on to all tax payers, then once again, we have privatized profits and "socialized" costs
