@0toHero i believe that's what dogma was all about. it was showing that organized religion is the reason for most wars and a lot of disputes between races/religions. this movie showed everyone that religion shouldnt be about what specific things people believe in (i.e. confession for catholics, wearing yamakas in temple, etc.), but the fact that if they do believe and ifthey want to go to heaven, they should prove it not by simply going to church, but living the way theybelieve god wants 'em to.
yea i kno this is n no shit this lady is sitting in my house right now im not even kidding my grandpa is friends with her she lives right in walton ny lol
its not about what he says its the fact that just how you say something or make a point out of something even tho it has nothing to do really with what your talkin about. its about the fact that you can change someones mind about something they believe in so much as to devote there whole life around it just from what you say not anything actually having a point.
It doesnt matter much to me personally. I just thought it strange that a nun - who supposedly believes in the bible - would put more stock in a interpretation someone makes of a poem. One would think she would have thought about this whole subject before she became a nun.
or maybe she didn't, thats the joke. many ppl follow religion blindly, without thinking about it. "religion" just made the best argument at the time, and ppl follow like sheep. so then loki comes along and makes a better one, and even someone like a nun follows.

as much as I love this scene, there's really no symbology to Alice in Wonderland
Lewis Caroll made it all up off the top of his head as a story he was telling to his 11-year-old girlfriend

OMG HAHAH I CANT BELIEVE HE DID THAT!!!!
HAHA I remember reading the walrus and the carpender as a kid and this is blowing my mind

if you pay attention, the actress playing the nun appears later, dressed like a whore and getting drunk in a bar

my thoughts exactly
it was a rather bizarre shift in extremes
just because you're not a pious Christian, doesn't mean you're living destitute

@0toHero ...as long as worshipping does not involve WEAPONRY.

The nun is Betty Aberlin from the children's television show Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
As Lady Aberlin in the Neighborhood of MakeBelieve she was the niece of King Friday the Thirteenth.

LOL. His argumentation is all messed up. ^^ What does it matter what a poem says anyway.
GildorStarlord 3 years ago
The poem itself doesn't matter, obviously, but what it says must have rung true to the Nun.
Same could be said about the Bible. :)
