Emily Schulman from "Small Wonder" was in one of the commercials. She was in the "Baby Skates" Commercial. She played "Harriet" in "Small Wonder", the neighbor who was confident that she would marry "Jamie" played by Jerry Supiran.
Love these old 80's commercials! Although the look on the Easy Bake Oven girls face at 0:48 is kinda creepy! Almost like she's thinking, "You're going in that oven next brother!"
they made so many toy commercials back then huh? I remember always loving to watch tv just to see the new toys that are out, do they even have toy commercials anymore? I used to love goblins, i wish i would of kept my toys. I loved how the eyes moved. the commercials back then were weird though lol.
I enjoyed these. Also makes me realize one of the many reasons kids are so fat anymore. Every toy the player actually moves and many are played with outside. To play was an activity with others. Now with that said I'm off to play WOW for 5 hrs. But hey, I'm not kid. haha
yeah, of course this is the reason? We always tend to go with something that's been influenced or experienced. I experienced the 80s as a child, I have a daughter that's 7, she also loves the 80s through influence from me.
@ocpt105 Yes of course we like it for that reason. We enjoyed being children in that time. The 1980s were my favorate kind of decade becasue we had a lot of Christmas Presents, food and money back in those days, and it was a time of peace without war, and our economy was going really good.
:oP The 80s were good times My little Candy, or Bon Bon, if that's your real name? lol Just kidding.
I think that the 80s has to be, hands down, the best decade ever. There is nothing about that era that I dislike!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
lol when we were kids it was all so tramatic..lol if we only knew how easy it was then and how being an adult is so much harder..I would take baby skates falling down all over again..hehe
I agree....I miss being a kid, I guess this is why I am still a child at heart. I tell my little girl all the time to never wish time away and aways enjoy the age she is now. I am assuming that you are born in the 70's like me and raised in the 80s, but the 80s has to be the best decade ever!!!!
i remember in school i can get into a fight and beat the person up and the next day he will give you respect. Now if you get into a fight,2 things might happen:1,either the person comes back with a weapon or 2,they got a gang after you. I miss playin outside all night and buying things that only costed what 25,50 cents?i miss going to clubs at night and gettin drunk at 16,and listening to the music, and I can't forget parachute pants. Why can't we all relive the 80's,WHHHHHHY!!
@kingdarius1996 I feel you, you have no idea how much i would love to relive the 80s! That feeling of nostalgia...i dont think we can ever have that now.
Do they even use jingles in toy commercials anymore? Jingles were an artform...seriously. I saw an interview with a guy who did a lot of 60s-80s jingles. Plus, this is a bit off the topic, but I saw some of the modern cartoons; they're CGI (computer generated)...yeah, they SUCK compared to the old-fashion ones...like The Justice League...Saturday Morning Cartoons on ABC! Oh, those were the days! Richie Rich..Scoobie Doo..Schoolhouse Rock. Had to get my cereal and get in front of the ole tv.
I agree you with 100% They should bring cartoons back like they were when we were growing up. I have wrote certain TV stations to see if the could bring back Saturday mornings like the 1980s, but no reply. In my opinion, the 80s were the best!
I guess they're trying to teach kids about how babies are, so they will give a doll that poop and pee. I guess it's to prepare for the real baby when they get older, but I thought that was a bad idea.
Hey, you are welcome....I am happy that you like this and also that it can help with your assignment. I grew up as a child in the 1980s and I have to say that even today I love that decade!
I want to say thank you because I have an assignment on propaganda styles of the 1950's, 60's, 70's, or 80's so I am doing 80's and it's amazing how different the commercials are from now and they kind of give me a home warmy feeling...:D thank u!
Thank you sooooooo much for posting all of these classic commercials they bring back a whole lot of memories for me and I really would appreciate it if you could put more up soon thank you!
thanks.... I love remembering when I was a kid and these commercials really do bring back memories. I am very happy that you enjoyed them, I have more posted and will post more very soon.
Wow my sister always was playing were her easy bake oven. I love remembering when we were kids growing up in the 80s. Great commericials I hope you post more.
Things were definitely gender specific. I kinda wish things would go back to that time. So simple. So easy.

Wow! So many of the "Girl" Ads were about cooking, raising babies, and having a barbie as your role model. What happened after 1994?

3:05 - Jenny Lewis from The Wizard, Foxfire and many other movies.
3:15 - Emily Schulman from Small Wonder and other stuff.
I know I've seen the guy at 3:17 somewhere too, but I can't place him.
