It definitely sounds like a tuning, and the piece sounds very much like "Easy Does It" from COVERDALE/PAGE. You need to check out that track to verify. A transcribed TAB reads "The main riff is a great example of playing a Lydian scale using

octave/drone techniques." But the TAB is in fact in standard tuning with the high-E and B strings droning on the riff. That album was slammed by most because of Coverdale's surrogate presence for Robert, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Happy listening.

Drop C is one of the hardest drops to keep in tune. It's not an open A. I would agree that it is likely open C. I love drop D or B and have experimented with drop C. I haven't actually experimented with open A as much. I now plan to :) Drop tuning highlighted "Kashmir" for Page. Drop B gives similar to the Stone Temple Pilots, which works very well for Weiland's style. Music is about experimenting where there is no true right or wrong, but what comes out sounding well for you. -rjd

First, this is not a deleted scene from "it might get loud". I have the movie & I checked all the deleted scenes this is not there. Second, this is not a deleted scene, it's barely a scene, it's just a photo & someone playing the guitar behind it, I can hear the clicks of the recorder. I'm not saying that it is or it isn't jimmy but if it is him what's the source, and also he should get better equipment. This, while good, sounds home made.

Jack white is a legend in the making, the amount of music he has produced and the fact that he is so versatile in his writing is something you should consider. Jimmy Page is a legend and was willing to do a doc with this kid, so think about that. NO one saying he's better than jimmy, but give the kid some credit. He's a true artist

However, I have studied Jack White. Maybe look a little bit under the covers. If nothing else, JW is the most studied roots and blues musician. I learned to dig him from the movie Cold Mountain.
