If you ask a marine that ,they would or better yet should say a soldier is supposed to protect their commanding officer and to take out the person threating them. Ashely's family has not had the best experiences with aliens ,and she had to suffer like her father because her grandfather surrended to aliens. 2. Humanity and the rest of the intergalatic community has been at odds for awhile ,if I was a soldier I would be cautious around them. I wouldn't hate them so to speak ,but you have to be cautious about people you don't know or their motivations for doing it.
