what village did you go to? I know what you mean by their happy faces after getting the gifts from you. I was visiting my home for the first since coming to the U.S. over 25 years. Want to back again very soon.
I went to Vang Vieng and outside of Vientiane. On my next trip back to Vang Vieng, a teacher over there requested for a soccer ball for the children...so that is in one of my gift bags along with more notebooks and pencils.....but anything you give, they will definately appreciate.:-)
Thank you for uploading. It's very beautiful! Bring back alot of good memories. I was deployed to Vang Viang and later to the Kasi District in the 90's. I still have friends and collegues in the areas.
Yes...most definately!!!! I had the entire cultural experiences. But, the highlight of my trip to Laos was when I journeyed out far into the villages to see the students and gave each one of them a notebook and pencils. They all came running to me like I was Santa Clause giving out gifts....it was the best feeling ever!!! I will never forget the images on their little faces. I will include you alright...just make sure you take a lot of green....:-)
Love this Video!! It seems you had the whole cultural experience Sister!! I want to go w/you next time to Laos and see all the little children @ the schools. Glad you had a great time & be sure to include me on your next journey back home
