On ne chante pas l'opéra français comme on chante l'opéra italien ou allemand; Ben Heppner chante tout à fait selon l'esprit français; j'ai écouté d'autreS versions de grands ténors, particulièrement italien et hispanophone; les voix sont belles mais le style n'est pas juste; il y a des effets dramatiques et des coups de glotte qui ne sont pas de mise dans l'opéra français; quant à la diction de Ben Heppner, c'est du miel pour une oreille francophone. Such a wonderfull musician!!

For me even more touching than the version that came out on CD. The little mishap at 3:38 (violin to early) does not bother me at all.
