  • jafarinhas - The airport is in St Maarten, NA in the caribbean. I think it is the Dutch side of the island. People (tourists and locals alike) go there to watch the planes take off.

  • It's the Princess Juliana Airport on Saint Maarten Island in the Caribbean. If you have a look at that place with Google Earth: there isn't any other space to put an airstrip, that could handle big planes like this.

  • All you have to do is lean into the blast and wear a good pair of goggles. OF course I havent been hit by a rock traveling at 300mph/750kph yet so I can't really say its a safe thing to do.

  • In my opinion, all beaches should be closed that are behind a runway. Just imagine if the beach is packed and one single jet blast blows everyone in the water in one big heap. Some people could drown.
