Since even hand pumps can be used to inflate auto tires to high psi in a pinch, I don't see why pedal powered would not be sufficient enough to drive a compressor pump (if geared appropriately) that would pump the ammonia, from it's gas envelope, or "balloon," back into it's storage tank, and thus descend the airship in altitude. A mechanical clutch could be used to switch from rotor power to pump compressor power when needing to change altitude. I believe this would less ballast lbs.
Greetings. May I ask, what do you think of the concept of using a separate gas "envelope" and pump system using anhydrous ammonia, while using either hydrogen or helium as the main lifting gas for the "dead weight?" The ammonia, while corrosive and needing special precautions, could be used to ballast the airship in a closed, recycled system, so that the pilot could utilized far less energy normally wasted pedaling just to keep the airship afloat.
awesome

Hi folks, Looks like fun, but pretty much state of the art for modern French airships today.
If you want a Helium sniffing laugh try 3w dot airship.me from Montenegro, the worlds only lighter than air web site. Regards JB.

Wow, did you make that yourself? If not where did you get it and how much did it cost?
