  • I gave the game away some years ago yet I still swoon for my valentine...

  • takes me right back to when i used to watch "View from a Bridge" the video collection from T'pau would love it if it was released onto dvd

  • Not long until VT cards.. I'll drop one in Ms Decker if im in the area -)

  • I've fallen back in love with Carol Decker xxx

  • amazing voice, enough said

  • Im not really into dance performance but those guys are great

  • Yeah, Carol's shoes and knickers are enough to get even the most effeminate man spaffing his gunge. Maggie Thatcher's tits were fantastic though. My uncle's 14 yearold Thai gimp has built a 1:1 replica of Thatcher's anus which he still uses to perfect his analingus technique. No dental damn, he's a purist.

  • @jizzspraya Hey, thats cool.

  • Yes very good. Now then according to my big, fat, useless turd of a brother he reckonz that there is this bloke on his shift at work yeah, who's black boyfriend in turn knows the cleaner down at the job centre right.. Any way the point is the cleaner at the nash is naybours with the bloke who broke into Carols dressing room and emptied his cuthberts all over her knickers and shoes.

  • maagi had more balls than this shower of shit running the country

  • @xbox360siy Agreed ! God - to be back there now. We have had some wet blankets running this country for two decades. Maggie had us as the third largest economy in the WORLD. No shit! Because of Brown / Blair etc, we are now something like 20th and there is NO coming back from that. We are buggered. Maggie! Even with with your altzeimers, COME BACK ! The 80s rocked. The best music EVER !!! T'Pau were an original - a one off. Stupendous voice Carol Decker. Rock on !

  • @sunray1100 But if we were back there now, then thered be no Internet and no Youtube for you to Comment on like this. So why are you using the Internet when you want to be back in the 80s?

Regarding Thatcher, though she might have done some good for the UK, I think she could be quite a Tyrant, and Millions hated her for many reasons.

  • I heard this song only once before. It was never released as a single in north america. I guess that shows how great this song truly is, if it's stuck in my memory for 23 years after only hearing it once.

  • The new T'pau 'Story Behind The tracks' DVD / CD is now available from the Gnatfish Records website.

  • A 80-ás évek nem szűkölködött jobbnál jobb nótákban!Egy remekmű!

  • I think you mean peaking at number 9.

  • When i was younger i always wrote every Week my own Charts in a exercise book - my own Top 30! And i remember this was a No.1 Hit in my Charts! :)

  • great

  • Grande som e grandes recordações...

  • She hates SAW

  • Niceeee

  • uh its monday valentine ....

  • For all those T'Pau-sters today... and anyone else who wants to join in on a real classic!! x

  • carol dekker one hot babe

  • this is my auntie <3 xx

  • @theginachine YOU WISH...LMFAO...!

  • @systemOVsound

i am bieng serious she is carol decker and i am georgina decker she is my auntie my dads sister !!!

  • @theginachine

Give her a big sloppy kiss from me then!!

  • the good old crazy & creative 80s! compare to the shit on today's MTV: more sex but the heart is gone... & the edgy feel is gone as well

  • This band reminds me of Heart during the 80`s.

  • FFS! Can you lot just drop the willy waving armchair politics and just enjoy the music?!?!?! This is a great song from a great era for music. Nothing, repeat NOTHING can match the 80s for great, sometimes cheesy, always OTT, original music; and T'Pau sums that up the best...

  • saw these guys in concert and jesus they were loud but stunning!!

  • Will always be a special song for me, this was the first dance at our wedding night for my new wife & myself in February 1988.

  • Will always love this song, My fantastic wife & I had this song as our first dance on our wedding night in February 1988, will always be special to me ! :0)

  • Super voice, great camera work, great song!

  • This track should have been one of their best..

  • infelizmente nao foi feito a esta banda o realce que merece, eu gosto especialmente china in your hands

  • Yup EuroscepticUK. I agree with you that this song and T'Pau were fab. 3 million unemployed, racism and vicious homophobia at the heart of Government, not so sure. xx

  • @paulakareg i wouldn't waste time trying to argue with it. these thatcherite fascists LOVE their racist & homophobic bigotry. & stealing the jobs from & starving the working class peasants (let's NOT forget stealing the milk from primary school children) & utterly destroying any sense of community, setting up this abortion of a society where packs of vermin torch the vulnerable to death in their own homes. Thatcher is Evil & wants nailed up & left to the crows.

  • @paulakareg that said? this is a lovely song ;)

  • Beautiful memorys, awesome voice. Time of my life

  • in my opinion their best song. can't believe it only got to number 9 in the UK charts.

  • goodness! i used to be crazy about this song. now hearing this, it has hit me like a wave all over again!

  • well said adambassline, gotta admit l bought a few stock aitkin and waterman, sorry dude!,bridge of spies, amazing, rage even better but just could'nt make it big thanks to stock, aitkin and waterman!!,arsholes!!

  • very underated group, i love them, its a pity music like this never got as much credit as it should of in the charts, thanks to the absolute shite produced by stock aitken and waterman in the late 80's

  • Oh Carol.... I'd forgotton just how fab you were....

  • this girl was a decker tiffany combi. how good was that hair . if this was re-released i would buy it now . i am still crushin jazzy fella

  • I had a teenage crush on Carol..i guess most did...not hard to see why.

  • my first and true love bought me this for vday 1988. i couldn't recall it being this powerful. truly awesome- i'm a pisces , love this meloncholy true music

  • carol decker should have held the notes longer. great song. dancers' moves look so dull and rote but i'm sure female dancer had some good explosive moves if she wanted to do them for a different song.

  • T'Pau are better than Deep Purple!

  • lol,my first ever slow dance with a women,i must of been 13!!!

  • T'Pau most under rated song should have been alot bigger

  • @80srulz Totally agree!!

  • che bello pero, e come ieri, che vola il tempo,...

  • Listen to Fred - Imperiet.

  • i loved carol decker... such a voice...

  • haha don't remember it being as heavy as this. awesome.

  • @ nasenspray: She still is, I would say, there are even new songs with her as singer

  • Carol Decker was really pretty woman !!

  • Memories... of 80s...

  • this song is one off the best things to come out off the 80's ... Love it

  • the beginning of this song sounds like pretty vacant by sex pistols.

  • to true.... music these days just doesn't come close, incredible tune.

  • another great song by t'pau

  • they don't achieve this now I don't think.

But T'Pau, the name was, I am sure, a derivation of industry and all the energy that promotes.

  • Tpau - A minor angel - look it up on Wikipedia.

  • I see.

Not far off, wisdom and intelligences... need that in industry.

    Tpau's is very clever music.

  • @Yesideez

True, but utterly irrelevant. The band isn't named "Tpau" but "T'Pau." There is only one source for that name, as the band itself confirmed: T'Pau of Vulcan, from the episode "Amok Time" of the original Star Trek series.

  • I'm not sure of the definition of the word but they named themselves T'Pau after a character from

the original Star Trek. In case you didn't know.

  • Memories...... ouch

  • Great album. My mate gave me a copy on cassette, but it died many years ago now.

Looks like another trip to the iTunes store is called for

  • Carol Decker is a doll, was then and still is. Great music. A very deep song with kind of a tantric sound.

  • 1980's - big hair, T'Pau in the charts and Maggie running the country properly. Happy times indeed...

  • @EuroscepticUK

Im afraid Maggie was killing the country by closing everything and abolishing apprenticeships!! We now a depend on a big percentage of foreign skill, good ol maggie!!

  • @TrueGoth1

Nonsense - everything thats now wrong with this country is 100% Labour caused - you're probably just too young to remember they never fail to wreck things given time. As for "foreign skill" - blame them AND the "EU" for our open borders/doors and the Labour policy of paying too many lazy Brits to do nothing and living on benefits and vote for their perpetual ineptitude!

  • Comment removed

  • @EuroscepticUK 1980's, big hair and T'Pau in the charts. Little did we know the damage being done and how it was the beginning of the end for the working man that T'Pau and other groups in the 70's and 80's spoke up for.....!!

  • @HardWarUK

What Thatcher did to the UK, Reagan did to the working folks over here in America.

The "conservative" revolution has screwed us royally. BTW, I'm no "liberal" either, I'm somewhere in between. Good comment.

  • @EuroscepticUK Thatcher was a callous bitch, don`t get me started on what that toe rag did.

  • @peaceman1234567 She did what she had to because of Labour!!! And look at what Labour have done YET again when in power... No difference!!! 70's-90/00... Get your head out of your Arse!!!

  • @sw1000xg My head was never up there but slagThatcher was up hers.

  • @EuroscepticUK

    Awesome comment lol

  • @EuroscepticUK Don't forget only 14% income tax!, $0.80 gasoline, much better looking and simpler cars, and way, way, way less stupid laws. Oh!- and no NAFTA!

  • @EuroscepticUK Those indeed were the days..........

  • @EuroscepticUK how could anyone mention Carol & Maggie in the same sentence. T'Pau & other groups around helped us forget the crap that came out of number 10

  • @EuroscepticUK Maggie running the country properly??

  • @EuroscepticUK Here here!!!

  • @EuroscepticUK Hell yes !

  • "We go our seperate ways.... with nothing, but a smile...." how i wish it was that easy to part from those we truly feel for..... thanx for posting, great vid ;-j

  • One off the most under rated but best bands of the 80's always loved T'Pau

  • Great song,Great album!! Yes.Underated,but that's Okay,still Great..I have The CD and Cassette...I know...Lucky Me..

  • T'pau will live forever.Real music.

  • indeed, bring me goose bumps

  • love it

  • And I thought "Heart and Soul" was powerful - just the sound of this song gives me chills. So many of T'Pau's songs never received airplay in the US, so I'm only just hearing them now. Looks like I need to buy some CDs!

  • I completely agree. I've always loved "Heart and Soul" with a passion, but having recently come across "Valentine" once again on an old CD, I'd honestly forgotten how this song gives me goosepimples. It's now sitting proudly on the iPod!

  • Awesome .... just truly AWESOME. I gotta da goosepimples too now! Carol Decker - just say the word and my heart 'n soul (geddit?) are yours!!!

  • ich muss immer an pan tau denken...

  • Ich habe T`Pau geliebt damals...

  • T'PAU is a great act.Love Em..Just ask "jaj6688" on the Tube!!

  • Seems unfair that talent this big wasn't on top of the charts for decades! Amazing! I love every note!

  • beautiful

  • this song is much under-rated, it is one of the best songs ive ever heard.

  • GREAT BALLS OF CHEESE, you gotta love it

  • jk02333, you're absolutely poitively correct. she stole it from a relatively unheard of band from the 80's called t'pau ;) lol.

  • out standing song

by far their best if you ask me....

  • This one and "China in your hands" are simply fabulous...

  • Well if the beat's good it's gonna be a hit whatever the lyrics! Fab song!

  • "I know mine is a love from eggs on toast"? wtf?

  • I absolutely love this song and the music this band made, I grew up listening to this music in the 1980's. T'Pau RULE!

  • I love this song I have always loved this song

  • Love the song, video is kinda lame...

  • One of my favourite songs EVER. I met them in an album signing in Dublin years ago - I gave Carol a card and like the lady she is she wrote back to me with LOTS of signed band merchandise and a fantastic letter that I have framed still to this day. Great Band - Check out their Greatest Hits. Is a brilliant album!!!!

  • I never had a valentine.

Only from my so called pewrson who has a relation already for so long.

  • oh, and if shes ginger, i'm a cockney

  • Even if it`s gone grey and stinks i`d still gave a go! Nice one!

  • Incredible voice. Band was too sort lived.

  • I had the pleasure of being backstage after a concert in California. Carol was a great host as were the rest of the group. They all signed my LP, put on a great show, and I only wish I could hear more from Carol. What a great night.

  • carol decker stole the song china in your hands and the band name t'pau from miss brayfield(last known name was her maiden name)

  • Tpau was spocks god mother from star trek so who stole what?

  • my god has carol decker got a voice or what? good song aswell

  • great song from the best days of my life.

this song reminds me of the girl i should have been nicer to and spent the rest of my life with. because you never forget your one true love in life

  • Good responce, i too wish i had been nicer to someone special who was also my best friend all those years ago. Funny how you never quite manage to get that certain someone out of your mind.

  • I think this song and most of the 80s music summed up a great era and one that i was most happiest in. Todays music is fabricated unlike most of the bands of the 80s and the songs had meaning in them. Can we go back in time to the best era there ever was for all us 40 somthings????

  • ehum ehum...& 30 somethings

  • Carol Decker was as good if not better than Lennon or McCarney

  • she was great...but get a grip man

  • My grip is quite good thank you. Think about it, she wrote them all by herself the words and lyrics are in my view almost spritual, plus she did not have the same time span as L & M did

  • You got to be fucking kidding me. Carol Decker is just some stupid stereotypical 80's dipshit. Lennon and McCartney actually had TALENT! They knew how to write songs. What has T'Pau ever done for the world? I've never seen Carol Dumbass arrange any peace rallies. She was a ONE HIT WONDER! Paul McCartney still has a career and he's been in the business for over 40 years. Listen to the song Across The Universe or Mother Nature's Son. THAT is talent. THIS IS NOT! T'pau is a disgrace to music.

  • Well thats your view. Dont forget that Carol did all her own writing and she did not have the same media hype to help. Oh and she is a woman too. There are lots of songs I like that she wrote and sang. If you think she is a disgrace thats fine but I dont share your view. Have respect for people who take another point of view. My view of McCartney is that without Lennon he would never have got of the ground nor would Harrison nor would Ringo

  • Most of the Lennon/McCartney songs were writen solo. They didn't colaborate on EVERY song.

And what does being a woman have to do with anything? Women are just as capable of writing songs as men. She's just not one of them.

  • I'd say your just some stupid stereotypical 19 year old dipshit! You bore me! Do us all favor and crawl back under the rock you came from!

  • So, I'm stereotypical because I think T'Pau is ridiculous? If this is true then so be it. I can't stand this band. Their songs are far below mediocre. Even a slight comparison to the Beatles is blasphomy. The Beatles changed music forever. T'Pau reminds me of why I can't stand 80's music. I don't see how anyone could find this band amazing. They had one or two hits at the maximum in the u.s. They died quickly. So, apparently I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

  • cock

  • What the hell has a Peace Rally ever done for the world? Besides getting a few folks laid?

McCartney died a long time ago. He blew his mind out in a car and became a shoeless walrus. Get over it.

  • Granted the rallies didn't give peace that great of a name but, their hearts were in the right place. Even if trying to change the world for the better is all you can do, at least you're doing something. And McCartney isn't dead. He of all the Beatles has had the most successful solo career. I know I was maybe alittle cruel about T'Pau I just can't see how they could possibly be compared to The Beatles. They were pure genious. It wasn't the media hype AT ALL!

  • Peace Rallies do not effect anyone but those who attend and then it only makes them feel good about themselves. If you want peace then you prepare for war because there will always be enemies. You dont declare peace. You win it.

Paul is dead was prob before your time. Its a joke.

McC after the beatles sucks. They all did. The Sum was greater then the parts.

  • I got the Paul joke. I happen to know quite a bit about that hoax. I just thought you believed it.

Killing for peace is like fucking for virginity. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN! What good has come out of this war that we're in right now? None! Only dead soldiers and raised gas prices. We haven't even solved the problem we initially went to war for. War is pointless. Just someone striving for more power.

This has nothing really to do with T'pau sucking. Stop trying to change the subject.

  • Killing for peace... What a rational thought. NOT. WWII, kill the enemy and you get peace till the next enemy thinks he's ready. Osama thought he was ready. 9-11 was not the first battle and it wont be the last. ITs just time we stop acting like its a criminal act and deal with it. Adults running the country. Nice.

Gas prices have nothing to do with this war, Islamofascism does. I dont think you really know why we "went to war". We were attacked over and over and over.

  • So, uuhhh....Where's Osama?

  • IF he is alive its in some nasty cave.

One thing I dont understand and maybe you could explain it to me.

Osama is one man. If killing this one man would have made a difference it would have been 10 or 12 years ago, before his AQ and its jihad had taken full form. So why do you think he is important now? Do you think Islamofascisim would just go away?

  • Excellent Song!

  • ahem some good metal but not much today and way to much rap crap

  • maybe the videos reveal the song age, but show a lot more human side to music than those today, is all techno effects & thugs & slappers.

  • absolutely brilliant, never got the recognition this song deserved!!

  • i dont think the vids did much for the songs, the first two albums are still fantastic.i think there is a market now for this sort of music as the charts are dead

  • i believe you can now find her love interest in this vid, currently doing adverts for flu remedies!

  • You're right. However, would you believe he was doing adverts back in the 1980s as well - he featured in some Sunday Newspaper advert back in the day.

  • This never fails to send shivers up my back - right from my days in the 6th form - young, carefree and loads of lovely girls :)

  • Oh same here, heard it and it took me right back.

  • Along with "heart&soul" were my favs from T'pau that year.I think i liked this one more though..

  • When I wasn't blowing speakers with Tesla and Metalica I couldnt get enugh of T'pau and that VOICE!!!! She made many tweeters pop and smoke in trying to keep up with her.

    God I miss the 80's.

  • blew away most of the rest of '80s music x

  • fantastic song, brings back beautiful memories of the 80's...Carrol dekker is fantastic!!!

  • Absolutely superb

    THE DOGS BOLLOCKS!!!

  • AWESOME

  • Super! Thanks a lot for posting!!!

  • great song from way back who keeps taking all the music vids off? monsters and angels by the voice of the beehive is gone that was a great song and video
