Search Godley And Creme - Consequences Part to hear where Gotye got his melody for this. It is in Sleeping Earth (part 6) at 6:42 of the clip on youtube. I know the Gotye rates Kate Bush as an influence and you can certainly hear that, but Godley And Creme were pushing the same envelope in the late 70s as her and used glockenspiel etc in consequences part 1 which is uncannily similar to 'somebody that I used to know'
