i have always herd that you couldnt keep angels and discus together for some reason. I see that yours are doing very well. I would like to know if you can keep them together if there are any conditions that you must follow?

I don't know why discus are supposed to be better than angelfish. Angelfish are just so cool to watch, the colors of the discus stop impressing you once you get used to them.

i thought angels pass harmful diseases to discus? how did you avoid that?

Excellent tank. Most people try to cram as many species in as possible but this is how it should be done. I try to tell poeple this at my shop but they seldom listen.

pondguru i agree. in my 250 litres i only have angelfish, corys , plecostomus, and a few neon (30).. its not to much is it?

4 angels, 6 corys pleco pair...

Sounds sweet. In the case of Discus and Angels tanks, when considering other species as tankmates, less is more.

yeah. and i never experienced having algea. its so weird. if i ever get algea the angelfishs seems to eat it. i had a 300 litres tank where there allways was algea, wich the angels strangely found tasty oO

i have 6 angelfish , 50 neon fish(too many?) , 8 corys plecostomus pair ,

3.6 guppy.. 3.6=3 males and 6 females :D

i think the combination is quite good. in my 300 most of my fish is still young. you should get yours at a young age , so they wont harm eachother.. :D

Wonderful aquarium.Congratulations!Howev­er I wouldn't keep the king of the freshwater with angel fish.Angelfish become very competitive and they are said to have parasites that are harmless to them but dangerous for discus fish.
