  • @pyxlpainter does have a point, even though he or she doesn't realize it...

Unless the knees are stablized when doing the supine leg check with an infant the practitioner can't be sure they are getting a true reading on what is going on with the atlas! I see a LOT of babies and I adjust the atlas when needed, but I have a strict protocol that I follow and stabiliizing the knees when doing a leg check is a big part of that protocol. All the experts agree that the knees must be stabilized.

  • That can't be good for his knees. His bones haven't even finished developing.

    thanks for your comment.

What was done to his knees that you think could harm him?

Have you ever witnessed a birth? Instrument used exerts less than 50N. Do you know what the forces exerted by obstetricians upon the baby's neck are?

Also, changing a nappy usually manipulates a baby harder than a chiropractor...

this should be evident in the video.

In my 14 years I have adjusted adults who were my patients as babies. Their knees are fine.

Shall we wait for the immune system to develop before vaccination?

Shall we wait for the lungs to develop before treating asthma?

Shall we wait for the hole in the heart to close up before we treat Patent Ductus Arteriosus?

Shall we allow the hip to remain dislocated before treating Perthe's disease of the hip?

    Shall I go on?

  • Beautiful! my daughter is just 1.5 weeks old and I can relate to that
