  • Sing it Marva! This lady was in my stenography class at Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She told me she was gonna sing with James Brown, and that she did!! I'm glad to know she is STILL singing and sounding good. Marvelous Marva Whitney is what we called her in Kansas City!

  • This is simply heaven.

  • The original with Dionee Warwick was way nicer, imho.

  • @motogoa ..HELL NO..TRUTHFULLY..THAT'S HONKY TONK..

  • Brilliant...a up-tempo version of the Burt Bacharach classic...I LOVE THIS.

  • Just cause she has sung a northern song, it dont make it good, in fact a very much unfinished raw versioni compared to the Hal David v BB version.....remember rare soul isn't always the best, trust me I went to Wigan from74 till the end, open your eyes a bit and embrace other gendre's of music..................................

  • you can find this song on the "polydor Burt Bacharach song book "lippy lip ,Bacharach" tribute album released in Japan in 1998 , featuring many other excellent covers

  • I can't believe this. I've always loved Bacharach & David songs and bought this "blind" out of a junk shop, C.1971/2. Unfortunately, I sold it many years ago. It's great to hear it again after all these years.
