Indian Creek was my old school. I can't believe that. Last time the creek flooded it ruined the tennis court nearby and now it is used as a parking lot.
Great vid but I believe you placed it wrong for GoogleEarth. You placed it on 10th ave near 22nd St and there wasn't any flooding there whatsoever, there's not even any water near there. You might wanna fix this mistake and place the icon at Indian Creek School or Alburnett Road. Check ya later.
Hi, thanks for posting. I grew up on 4th street in Marion in the 60s & 70s not far from the Jaycee park at Indian Creek. Go MHS Class of '79! I still have family in Marion and Vinton and wondered how the area looked. I had friends that lost homes when Hurricane Floyd came through where I live now in Johnston County NC, my home only spared because it sits 5' off the ground so I know everyone back home has a time ahead. Glad to see Marion is fair but Vinton seems to be hit hard. All my prayers!
Great coverage! I grew up in Marion, A Linn-Mar Alumni from the 70's ;-) My daughters attended LM for a few years before we moved back to Arizona. Thoughts and prayers are with you all! Cathy
yeah i have pictures of Boyson Road and 10th street. Police were supposedly confiscating cars of people who tried to drive out of the Azure apartment complex
WHat street are you looking at here? I live in the Azure Apartments and Boyson and 10th was RIDICULOUS yesterday. We couldn't even get out of the complex in a car. We had to walk through the water.
The first is off of the corner of Indian Creek Rd and 29th Ave, the second is some street off of Central Ave, either 8th or 9h street. The water that we get drive by shots of is Lininger Park, off of Alburnett Rd, completely under water.
I'm in 5th grade at indain creek

June was hell in E. Iowa. Are they gonna move Armstrong out by Oak Ridge?
Did this even top that line they put on the ticket place at Armstrong, because I don't think it did.
Remember those dumbfucks who got stranded in the stands at armstrong?

Hmm, I've seen Indian creek much higher than that, but I'm sure since the time you took the video it got even higher. I used to live on 25th Ave.
Video tip - just say a word or two where you are while on camera. Just a tip.
Thanks for the video, great job.
