He never stated to be a christian during his public life, his marriage to Eva Braun wasn't a christian ceremony... and he had the idea to be the chosen one (not in a christian way). During WW he heard a voice that told him to 'go his own way'. So what you are stating is not correct.

Deutschland ist mit vielleicht England, Frankreich, Russland und den USA das bedeutendste Land der Geschichte. Und alle Länder in diesem erlesenen Kreis haben Verbrechen begangen. Richtig. Ich stimmte dir voll und ganz zu! Es mag sein, dass der Holokaust ein Massenmord in bisher nie dagewesenen Ausmaßen war, da man eben auch die Mittel, wie Gaskammer z.B. dazu hatte. Dass aber z.B. die "Amerikaner" (und damit meine ich vor allem englische Siedler) eigentlich genau das Gleiche mit den Ureinwohnern getan haben, bloß nicht so einfache Möglichkeiten hatten, wird aber meistens unter den Tisch gekehrt. Naja, der Sieger schreibt eben die Geschichte...

@LucjeDemon can´t say that i saved a life, but Schindler did it, if avoiding that a jewish person was saved of ending up in a gas chamber, means, that will serve as an example for other people to rise and protect Jews of being exterminated by the SS, i don´t know if this was the point, but if you look in History books, you´ll notice that thousands of Germans, and other persons protected the Jews. It might not been the whole world saved but, if wasn´t for those persons, they would be killed

@LucjeDemon Personally I think it's that if you save a person, regardles of danger for yourself, you have done the utmost good you can do in this world. And so it is a sign of hope, and hope is what drives all men to do better. So by showing that hope hasn't died, you show that the entire world can be saved.
That's my personal interpretation

When trying to insult someone's English abilities, it looks a hell of a lot better if you have a basic grasp of the language yourself. He was right, films like this are not for profits, but an effort to not forget the horror of the Holocaust, it´s a cruel tell of the Schindlerjuden, some of the descendents appear on the movie, that´s why the movie is black and white, and the movie itself was filmed on Poland, with the execption of Auschwitz, they had to make an replica, they were not allowed to shot in the camp

@MrDewy67 Oskar Schindler was an german industrial who saved thousands of Jews, they were working in his factories, instead of ending up the gas chambers or being executed, they were saved by Schindler. A better example: If you were a Jew and you lived in 1944, you just to an concentration camp, imagine you are underage, the destination were the gas chambers, now Schindler shows up, and he had SS officers on the payroll, and says that he need your group to work for him, what would you say?

big deal - they not the only people that went through a massacre so many people go through that kinda thing in africa and asia - i don't see anyone talking about them. its only because people have dramatized and made the whole holocaust thing a mainstream do people sympathize with it more - otherwise it is no different with what is happening in other parts of the world - plus israelis are inflecting same amount of torture on palestians every day.

Religions are philosophies that show us paths to perfection, but the churches are usually corrupt, have started thousands of wars and massacred hundreds of millions through out history, prevented science from advancing and restricted our freedom. Although some religions themselves restrict freedom, a perfect example is Islam, but democracy and freedom cannot and shouldn't exist in Arab states.

Respect has to be earned, I respect religion no more than any other irrational hostile ideology or belief. We can't accept all beliefs- for example do you accept the belief that whites are superior to all other races or that the earth is flat?
