  • I have been told that these tremors are common in Bullies and it is caused by low blood sugar. A few drops of honey on your finger or just a small piece of muffin or something that has sugar will stop it. NO candy or Chocolate!

  • Your bully has URINARY TRACT INFECTION or some other type of infection. These tremors are believed to be random but they are not. Take your bulldog to the vet and get the proper medication..

  • Thank you to the pet owners who have posted their videos of their bullies and also the advice from the community in the comment threads. Our bulldog just had his first head tremor last night and we were really scared. We took him to the neurologist and she said he is OK. The information people have put out there on the internet is really helpful in understanding what to do and what is going on.

  • My bulldog also has tremors....After a few vet visits and searching the internet, I didn't get any satisfaction.....One night he was having a tremor so I stuck my fingers in his ears and massaged the inside of his ears for a few seconds then let him smell my fingers and lick them. The tremors immediately stopped. If they would start up again, I would repeat the process and they would be gone. The total process takes less than 30 seconds and the tremors stop.

  • ice cream or milk with sugars will stop it I have two bulldogs and it works!

  • My 10 month old bulldog just started these yesterday, he has had 6 in two days...I'm worried, vets referred us to a neurologist...? Any advice....?

  • If your bulldog is upset by it then try to calm them and soothe them. It's scary for them I would imagine because they don't understand why it's happening. Stress can exhaust even a person so I would imagine it can make them tired if it happens for a long time. With the teaspoon of Emetrol mine quit the tremors after only a minute or two and I just held and pet them until they calmed down.

  • They usually stop doing head tremors at around 2 years of age. My bulldogs only had a couple of episodes. Mugsy had three and Tazzie two. I've heard of them happening more frequently but it happend only a few times to mine.

  • is it normal for them to act tired or kinda agrevated after an episode?

  • A tablespoon of either Kayro Syrup or Emetrol will stop them in about half a minute. It's developmental and happens in younger bullies when the neurotransmittors misfire. It's not a permanent thing, it usually goes away. My two bulldogs had probably half a dozen episodes each and they stopped.

  • @tankrtots at what age do they stop?

  • this is really depressing..i hoppe she'll be allright

  • @yorkster003 sorry for late respns, but she is alright, those are just reflexes, my bulldog usually shakes his leg :))

  • Thanks, I will try that!

  • My bully did this today for the 1st time it really freaked me out, have been reading about it all day online. Then thought of looking on youtube, thanks for posting!

  • Essential Fatty Acids have proven many times over to help these kinds of brain disorders. Find a good quality Fish Oil.

  • Try to give him Vitam B Complex (from Ratiopharm). Don´t be afraid. Lots of bullys do this. It´s not dangerous. Just try Vitamin B.

  • Makes me sad every time I see it. Ours was fixed 4 months ago, she started having tremors 2 months ago. After a lot of research, lack of Calcium seems to be one of the big causes. I stated giving mine about 2 table spoons a day of ice cream or milk, hasn't had one since.

  • Whoa! I've never heard or read about this and I've researched bulldogs a lot. Or is it just not uncommon with any breed?

  • creepy, its not uncommon though, i heard that a sweet treat works, good luck.
