As for The Killers' version, every cover includes the band covering to add their own style. So get use to it! It's great! This is a terrible cover. I respect that The Killers are paying Homage to legends like Joy Division but it seems they don't "get" the song. The original showcased the pain and coldness that Joy Division had intheir music. On it's own if it wasn't a cover you have a decent song. When you hear the original and know how Ian Curtis was, you would hear the Killers version and think to yourself "This isn't an acurate representation" of the song. The song should have a cold and painful feel to it.
