I've just finished playing Sykes in my youth theatre's production on Oliver! I loved it, but I did more shouting that this bloke and a Cockney accent. Although I didn't have a 'jemy', I had a tiny pistol to hit Nancy with. :S

But, definitely the best role I've ever played.x

Among many productions, i've also played King Herod from Jesus Christ Superstar and Gus the Theater Cat from Cats. You play Bill the way he SHOULD be played. A man of intimidating stature, with a horrible temper, who cares about no one but himself.

My only advice is to not be afraid to intimidate people on stage as Bill. Get in their face and clear your path. You control everyone's life in the pub.

I'm in this production @ school, and the captain of the football team is playing Sykes... no one ever looked better for the part, and he can hold the tune as much as he needs to, but wouldn't it be nice if he had what you have - the looks, the acting, and the voice for it.
