If you watch Larry Vickers show you on his video you'll see that you are transitioning wrong if you have it setup on the buttstock like that. You have to take your arm out of it to transition like his video shows on blueforcegear, but if you put it on the end of the stock via burnsed loop then you can do it the way you are doing it and it won't chock you.
I have to say I like your presentation....I used your customized version on mine, but I also took it one step further, at least for me....will post up the video if you are interested....but I want to thank you for your adaptation....I like it...
@locknload223 Yes! I did it to mine, although it required me to have to chop a bit of the sling material off to get the sling completely buckled down with the QD attachments.(using simular ones as in the video, different brand) Namely I had to get mine shorter. Take note, I'm rather lanky/skinny mind you though, so "larger" individuals may not have to cut so much off, they might require more slack. ^_^
@Rkanum - Thanks Rkanum. I've been trying to decide between the regular and padded sling and I really like this mod and want to try it. It just makes sense to set it up this way. I have a bit more tactical padding on my body so it sounds like this will work.
Thanks Jim! This video helped me set my vickers sling up really nicely as I love the way you set it up, great stuff. You should get your own show on TV doing how-to stuff like this, haha! ^_^

Really like this setup. Where do you get the metal slide/glides from?

Thanks for the how to on the modification. I am now able to run the sling on my AK74 and M4 since they are both setup with VLTOR mod-stocks.

Can you do this mod with the padded Vickers sling? Is there enough adjustment? Thanks.
