I'm a big fan of Sirlin but I find it a little unfortunate that he's spent this much time analyzing and explaining what is the worst game in the Smash series by far.

A whole lot of this stuff has no actual bearing on high-level play. The metagame erases huge portions because a lot of supposed options are just not worth using. Metaknight has no real reason to do anything but ledgehop uair from the ledge if he's on it, so you never see him do anything else. The game is full of stuff like this.

lol, I thought the exact same thing. Street Fighter is about as far from Smash Bros. as, well, Street Fighter.

Plus I find it funny he talks about items and final smashes in the same context as actual, official competition.

I have to admit I'm with you two on this. I'm sure he's competent, but it's funny that his laurels rest in Street Fighter, where most of those serious Street Fighter community consider Smash Bros. NOT to be a proper fighting game.

I definitely did pick up on that, but I'll watch the videos none the less
