If there are aliens and they have discovered us, why now? How come they've only just found us now?

If you say they've known of us since the days of the Pharaohs then why are they still clandestinely studying us? If they've been studying us all this time and still haven't found out all there is to know about us, they can't be too bright.

Surely, after learning all about us, the next step would be contact or leave. Since they haven't contacted us, they've either gone or they don't exist!

Why are they waiting for us to detect them, make contact with them? If humans are studying other creatures that we're interested in, we try to communicate with them. It's only natural if you've interested in an animal and your intentions are friendly, you try to communicate and if you're alien smart, you'd find a way in several thousand years to do so.

Concerning the hypothesis that people can´t visit each other in space , I think there are clear and present reasons for why not to take that hypothesis into account at all......

Wherever we find articles like this, proposing that alien lifeforms have visited us, we find naysayers and non-believers. Then someone always pipes up about people being in denial and in such a vast universe why think we are alone ... that wasn't the point in question though, was it ... sure, there's bound to be loads of intelligent life out there, but the question is whether they've happened on our little needle-in-a-haystack backwater. If you take into account the sheer body of evidence and eye witness accounts available, then even if more than 50% of the material was fictional, there would still be enough to overwhelmingly prove that Aliens and UFOs do in fact exist. The only question is WHAT ARE THEIR INTENTIONS?! Perhaps more worryingly is what are the intentions of the governments that have become so powerful with this knowledge and new technologies? If aliens are sooo advanced that they've mastered deep space travel, that they can fly around Earth and probe humans for so many years without leaving a single trace of evidence that they've been, why do they still need to probe people? I don't deny it is - possible - that life in one for or another and with varying degrees of intelligence - may - exist somewhere but IF they're intelligent enough to master space travel, why the hell would they be interested in us violent, prejudiced, scared little rodents running around fighting and killing one another?
