Passion, desire and total loyality to club and country, he could have earnt so much more by moving away from Nottingham Forest, but didn't, he adored playing the club, its fans, and most of the manager.

I hope he doesn't become England manager too soon though

i remember against spurs, that dick niyeem(?) playing for spurs at the time, dived over a pearce tackle before he even got to him, the ball rebounded back to them and pearce cleared the ball whilst still on the floor giving him a good uppercut on the chin, the crowd gave him a right cheer!

Pearce is the best player I have ever seen! As a Captain England/ Forest he was outstanding, as a player he was the best left back I have ever seen! He was extrememely tough but also fair! 13 years in the Trent End, Thankyou Stuart! No one ever messed with you! His engine is also incredible he's always an option going foward and his pace always gets him out of trouble. XI, then it really comes down to how you want to structure your side, right? If I had the likes of J. Barnes, Finney, Langton, Mullen, etc., @ LW: I'm not goling to be so concerned about the left side getting forward when on the attack.

I was at that game. He did it as he came over to a load of Forest lads who were giving him good natured stick all game about him being in a D*rby shirt.. He even winked at the Forest fans after he did it. The guy is a hero. His Euro 96 pen is one of Englands great sporting moments. Psycho!
